Where have i ever stated i disrespect the manager ?
I live in a world where respect is earned and gained through actions not given straight away .
I didnt respect you when i got here first because i didnt know you - you then earnt it but then threw it away .
dawson99 wrote:so before the CL win you didnt Respect Rafa? I respected him from day dot mate. Same as with Roy, i respect what hes done elsewhere, how hed come here when no one else would... thats the difference
so u didnt respect roy at fulham? or he lost your respect when he came here?

With regards to drop dead gorgeous football.....it wasn't always drop dead gorgeous in the early 80's on occassion but if the job gets done then the beauty is what lies at the end of the rainbow and not the yellow brick road....that could be the beginnings of a hit movie.!
so the picture of roy, taking his face off to show fergie is fine in your eyes?
the roy abuse has been disgraceful mate, thats what we want stopped

I had not one bit of iffinity towards Hodgson while at Fulham - he wasnt our manager . What he did elsewhere for me just points to his ability as a football manager .
Your taking as if respect is just a flick of a switch - it grows on people , it happens over a period of time , for Rafa it happened over the period of time .
You respect him Dawson thats your right - i will wait until he earns it . With his critisim of the fans he has put himself on the back foot .

Thats how I feel and I still feel like that now, that hes still one of the mediocre teams in the prems manager and not liverpools.

"Support is different to respect mate - name someone at Liverpool who was given instant respect ? "
I did read it. And Im still confused. Are you saying that Paisley, Fagan and Kenny didnt have respect from the supporters the instant they were announced manager??
Are you suggesting we had no respect for them until they had won 15, 20, 30 games or a trophy?
Yes they had the respect the instant they became managers - guess why Thommo ?
All three had already earnt the respect of the fans for the work they had already done at the club before taking on the managers job - same with souness same with evans .
Shanks earnt the respect after taking the job , same with GH and same with Rafa
Hodgson has to do the same
