Id love Guardiola, maybe he will come at the end of the season.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Roy won't be here as a long term manager maybe until jan or end of the season.. News owners will be wanting to push us back to the top so surely they will install a quality manager.. I'd rather we snap a foreign manager who understand europe well and could attract top players.

Frank Rijkaard :)

Surely could attract top players. Had Barcelona playing beautiful football. Good in the transfer market too, he got messi!

He is proven to win things at the top level, something which Roy hasnt done.

The point is Maxie, what if we're still 12-15th etc.. come christmas? Whilst we'd like to go thru to the end of the season with him to give the new owner time, what if we're not going to qualify for the UEFA cup never mind the CL?

Well Roy should be given his chance even if it is to end of season unless its a real disaster by Christmas. Even Ranieri and Hughes were given a chance by the plastic teams

My choice would be the big Guus Hiddink

Oh and nice post Woof but you forgot Lakes10 the sky is falling the sky is falling :D

Roy is not the kind of manager John Henry likes. So, his tenure will be short. John Henry likes people who are creative and young and energetic. Don't be surprise he hired someone you had never heard of. When he hired Theo Espein, no one had heard of him and he was even younger than the players. But he was a very smart individual. This is probably the direction the new owber will go if the deal is confirmed.

I always wanted Kenny but was prepared 2 give Roy a chance and c what he brings 2 the table. Ive said afew times that i think 4 every good buy that hes brought in hes then brought someone in who i cant 4 the life of me c what they offer. Id say overall in transfers hes down 1 point 4 me. But the worse thing 4 me is he never changes the team around when anyone can c it isnt working and he doesnt make subs soon enough. I like the man but not the manager.

I was fuming after the last match, ive cooled down now but still agree with what i said on here shortly after Blackpool

So im gonna stick me neck out and say give him the boot.

I believe Roy will not be given much time to turn it around. The new owner can't afford us not trying to be in Europe next year. So, they will probably do anything to salvage the season. They are an aggressive bunch but whether they will use the Red Sox money on us is something else. Giventheir track record, hope we can improve our academy as this should be the way to run the club.

2 names spring to my mind - Joachim Low and Bert van Marjwik (sp).
