The way some think its easy just to sell and buy players you would think its FM 2010 in real life

In normal circumstances I wouldnt be overly bothered but we're getting seriously thin on the ground right now for midfielders and right at the end of the transfer window too, its very worryin

Oh god, whats the world coming to if this is actually true, a cruntwipe of a player like him thinking he can do better than here......  :Oo:

Sell him ASAP ... He can't pass like Alonso .... He can't tackle like Mach .... He can't dribble like Joe Cole ... He can't score like SG from Midfield ...

Looks like we could be forced into using 4-2-4 with our rapidly deminishing midfield.

Jesus would find it hard to perform miracles at Anfield if he was around today....

And how plays when gerrard or poulsen is injured then ? Some people really need to think - we currently only have 3 senior CMs after loosing two in a week and you now want them to get rid of another - great thinking .

Here here benny. I presume we're talking about Lucas the enigma! We need to keep hold of him. There's just the usual :censored: on here who can't see any good in him. Whilst not outstanding, he is a good player. I only hope he's given the time to blossom.

In the beginning he was a prospect. In the middle he was decent backup. In the end, he was shab!te. Three seasons is a fairly long time in football and top flight premiership football is ruthlessly competitive. We can't go on playing him in games waiting for him to "blossom" since at best what we'll find is we have an OKish backup player, but at a cost to progress that you just cannot afford at the highest level. I think too many people lose sight of the standards required. To sustain a position in the top four of the top flight of one of the top leagues in world football requires top talent, particularly in CM which is as key a position as any.

Indeed. The boy has shown flashes on occasion and if we strengthen our midfield as we are doing, then Lucas is only going to get the odd chance and then we will see how good he is (or not!). I'm still in the believer court but then again, I was in the Rafa we trust foundation and I'm beginning to see where he going wrong. I must be easily suckered which astounds me because I thought I was always, if anything, the sceptical one. How blind faith can be

I think  the Lad will be a vital cog in a well oiled machine, and I have more than an inkling Roy has the same beliefs ...
Don't know whether I have mentioned that before

Glad you're not the manager then.

By all accounts it could be viewed that Lucas is surplus to requirments and rightly so, as for the vital cog retoric that was never going to happen except in the eyes of mediocrisy. And here's me thinking 'match goers' know their stuff  just goes to show whether you're at the game or watching from behind the goggle box 12,000 miles away there really is no difference, either you know what you're talking about or you don't.
Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

I hope he is leaving because I will be glad to see the back of him, he offers our first team nothing, and should not have been anywhere near it last season. But was one of the few players that gave his all go figure.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

I hope Lucas ends up at InterMilan

Him and Mascherano leaving and being replaced with the right players could improve our squad no end..

Would probably allow us to move Gerrard higher up and push Cole to the side... Great bit of business if true..

He's still only (relatively) young, more likely to make it than most of the kids, but sadly these days people tend to camp at the far extremes of the battlefield and clash only in the middle not realising that since they meet in the middle ground, perhaps their views should be there rather than at the extremes ie is it not possible he's neither sh 1t nor world class.....................?

:idea
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
