Will roy get the money to spend ? All these players being sold will only deplete the squad because there not being replaced . Can't see how people are happy about that . Same post can go in the Kuyt thread and all .

Yeah, this sh!t is getting old. I was beating that drum while Rafa was around as well but people kept insisting he spent so much. We used to be able to spend what we made from sales but the past 2 years ish we haven't been had any kind of money to spend at all. It's :censored:

ridiculous now, I'm 99.99% sure that if we sell Masch for 20+ we only spend half, maybe half.

We don't need to replace players like Degen and Nemeth and players like Benayoun and Riera have been replaced with the likes of Cole and Jovanovic. I think it goes without saying that if players like Kuyt and Mascherano leave we will need to find replacements.

I don't buy that story about Nemeth and us needing the money, if we needed 1 million that badly we wouldn't have spent 5 million on Poulsen and 2-5 million on Wilson. Nemeth was simply a player who had been at the club for 3 years and was now 21 and had not made an appearance in the first team, so we sold him, it happens all the time. Selling him and not bringing in a replacement has little or no affect on the results of the first team, as would be the case if we got rid of the likes of Darby, Plessis and El Zhar.

With the amount of time left until window closes and going by what Hodgson has been saying I don't think we will buy anyone unless there is a player swap involves in masher deal . Think they will talk any fee to pay off debt to give them more profit - hope I'm wrong

It wouldn't surprise me if we buy at least one player before the window closes, even if nobody leaves.

Without stating the obvious, wasn't Rafa forbidden from poaching LFC players as part of his exit clause ?
Surely we (the club) have the right to say "Fook off !" to Rafa and the thievin' pikeys from Inter ?

It'll be a gentleman's agreement between manager and his former club. I don't think that's going to count for much here. Whoever offers the most money gets the player.

right off with that! Is that a joke? Wasn't Rafa laughing off 50mil last season?

Roy needs to stand firm and not cave, hopefully we wont be forced into accepting a silly bid.

All depends if it's up to Hodgson on what price he can be sold at - he might not have a say in the asking price
