your posts make me laugh.

According to you Cole was a bad signing too   :laugh

has anyone thought that maybe Poulson is a replacement for Lucas? ???   Apparently he's on his way out for 5 million

I actually said signing Cole was a RISK .

What exactly has Cole done for us so far ? thats right - nothing

Maybe Poulsen has been signed to enable Gerrard to move back up to his free role andPoulsen will play alongside Lucas .

Wonder what people will think of the manager then .

People think its a waste of money due to them thinking there is already enough options in that area and us being extremely weaker in other areas on the pitch . Its an opinion they are entitled too . Some think is isnt good enough and is an average player at age where he isnt going to improve .

Being proven in the spanish league means nothing as we have found out previously - in the italian league he couldnt get into the Juve team ahead of Momo .

What did you think we he was linked to us last summer or the summer before - where you thinking what a great signing he would be ?

I have a feeling Hodgson could sign Djemba Djemba and you would think it is a great signing because at the moment the current boss can do no wrong in your eyes .

give it up, your bias against Roy is laughable and just serves to make you look foolish. It isn’t just this thread, it was in the Cole thread too. Everyone was celebrating a great signing for free and you were acting like we’d just signed a league one player.

Poulsen is better than Lucas and (if the rumours are right) Lucas is leaving too which means we'll bring in another central midfielder.

Unless we are pulling in 3m for our current second choice keeper I would be dissapointed with that kind of money going in on a lad that will likely play no more than 10 games a season in our less imporatnat matches. We have a history of this sort of thing with goalkeepers and not sure why we cant try and get experienced cover in on a free or something, it seems such a waste of resources.

Exactly. It's not that we're spending £2m-£3m on a good keeper, it's that we're spending £2m-£3m on keepers that won't play much and that money could be better put towards players we do need.

Bigmick could sit on the bench as keeper cover, chances are the only warming up he'll be doing is during the winter to avoid freezing his nads off sat on the bench. Might as well let Gulacsi sit on the bench.

Talking of keepers, is Itandje gone yet?

I'll bet a pound to a penny on you've never even seen him play

Why not just have a lie down for a bit mate, it's getting to be silly now.

Do we need a goalkeeper though Mick? Reina never gets injured and we still got cavalieri who is a decent back up.

Look (I don't know why I bother but at least I'll know I've tried), he was proven in the German league in a very good Shalke team, he was proven in the Spanish league in a very good Seville team, and if he couldn't get past Momo Sissoko there's no shame in that, Sissoko was and is a good player.

He's played for his country 77 times, we are selling one defensive midfielder and we have another who arguably isn't good enough. He's costing around 1/5 of what the other defensive midfielder will be sold for, and it proves our situation when we can't even afford to pay the fee.

He will very likely come straight into the team against Arsenal, and will instantly be better than Lucas. How on Earth can he be a BAD signing?

Its amazing people say we shouldnt judge players until they play in the prem and then we have the same bunch of people saying such and such is better than such and such yet they havent seen them play in the prem so how can they say he will be better in the prem ?!?!

How many times have you seen Poulsen play yourself

And suggest you read the Cole thread again and you will see my worries about the Cole signing .

But no doubt you just gloss over it and reach your own conclusions yourself just like the other village idiot .

It's almost certain that Cavalieri will be away if we sign this fella mate I should think.

Bold statement there isnt it yet how can you judge when you never seen him play in the prem - he could easily flop badly - better players have

Once again how many times have you seen him play . you admitted elsewhere about not knowing much outside the prem .

Proven in other leagues means nothing .

cavalieri has publicly said a few times he wants first team footie. I wouldn't be surprised if Roy's told him he's a no2 and he wants out. Makes sense to sign a replacement FIRST and then sell your number 2 keeper.

Would rather save the money and spend elsewhere and have one of the young keepers as back up .

F.uck it - there is some first class pri.cks on this board mate and two of the prime suspects are right here right now and it seems your not allowed to form your own opinion without one of the pr.icks trying to deride you for it .

But those are just guesses aren't they? So why make fun of people who voice their concerns based on what the current situation is? We also haven't sold mash for 25 millions now have we. Until such time I will refrain my praise for Roy and highlight my concerns. If mash is indeed sold for 25 millions nobody will stop you guys calling Roy a genius before he has even won us a league game... But just remember who has brought mash to anfield
