Or perhaps give Babel the chance to play up top?

he's been given the chance and failed miserably.

It just depends on whether you think he can make it or not.

I personally think he is playing at too high a level right now and he will never be able to play up front on his own at a big club as his game isn't and will never be complete enough. He would do brilliantly at a club lower down the league such as Birmingham and to them he would be worth the £10 million.

Id like to see this.

A fresh start under a new manager could be just the thing for him. Roy seems more like the arm round the shoulder type too, so maybe he will be more receptive to that.

As for Villa though I wish he would keep his gob shut. These Spaniards love to open their mouth about other players when it comes to transfer speculation.

Yanks out!

That was my idea regarding Babel too. I don't think he has had a sustained run in the side playing upfront.

But CHL makes a valid point about him playing a upfront on his own his game may not be up to the task. Maybe a shift in formation and a pair up with N'good upfront.? :D

forget it babbel is tripe. He cannot multi-task. He cannot run and kick the ball at the same time!

Well im going to give him the benefit of the doubt, at least for another year. Once you have a falling out with the manager your whole mindset can change and it affects your game. Not saying he WILL play like a changed man but we don't have that much money so we need to make the most of what we have got. I want to see more of NGog too.

If David Villa has really said this then I doubt Torres will be pleased with him. All this does is make trouble for him. Some of these Spanish lads are that smug at the moment, egos the size of a planet, that they think they can say what they want and engineer anything they want, Fabregas is a fine example. For his part Nando is a quiet lad, doesnt get involved, and certainly doesnt need Villa doing his talking for him. He should button it and get on with his own job at Barcelona.

There is probably a part of Torres that agrees with Villa but to date he has maintained fair play and honour meaning he remains at Liverpool Football Club. If he sustains that position the lad is a gem, a one off. Agents run the game and players are mesmorised by them and the coinage involved. Playing footy isnt just about winning and glory, most players win jack :censored:, but play on for the love of the game, to please the people and be a local hero. That in itself is winning, its a bigger win than taking an easy route to a monster club for a medal. Some of these boys today, even the big hitters, need reminding of these values and we will be all the better for it.

When? a handful of 20-30 minute cameos and the occasional cameo with the reserve in the League Cup is all he's had in 3 years.

Not saying I think he's the answer but he's not really been tested up-front.

Exactly, thats why I admire players like Totti, Zanneti and our own Peppe.  Their clubs went through rough times, but they never left because they had honor.  This is why I have more respect for Pepe than for Torres and Gerrard.

I really hope this isnt true im not 2 arsed about Villa opening his mouth its the thought that Torres would actually wont 2 play 4 Chelsea. I thought he was on of the rare players in the nowadays mercenary filled leagues that valued loyalty to his club and the people who support him.
