Sorry but on Torres I don't think Roy had much of a say. If his own comments recently were anything to go by it was Purslow doing most of the talking.

The only reason Torres is staying is because he loves the club and wants to give it more time to sell to new owners, get better players in ect... and a new manager too. Hodgsen isn't a long term choice imo.

Please no going back, especially not to Crouch Eight goals in 38 apps for spudz should say all that needs to be said, AND he'll be 30 in January not to mention the reasons I won't detail again but include his ability to give away fouls, the temptation to aim long balls at him and his near uselessness in the air (good on the ground if you give him space, granted)

I think he's seen how often Torres is injured/needs a rest nowadays.. I think he'd get quite a few games if he did come back.

I know it's controversial to say it, and I have nothing but hunch value to base it on, but Torres along with Gerrard are on my list of players who would have agitated even further for a move if we hadn't changed the manager.

If this is true then Torres had his mind made up that he was going to Chelsea
