Most have probably seen this but it looks like this one could fall through. Personally id be made up if this happened as we shouldn't be letting him go anyway. We just need to get someone to fill that position as a starter but Insua is decent backup.

He's decent back up. So we get offered 5 million quid for a bloke who is "back up" but we shouldn't sell. Meanwhile, we offer 2.5 million quid for another bloke who is "back up", but we shouldn't buy.

Who's the better player out of the two? The 2.5 million quid guy of course, but we shouldn't buy him because he's "sh!t".

We got offered 5mil for a player who will probably be worth double that in 3 years time. And we offered 2,5 mill for a sh.it player who isn't good enough for LFC. The difference is Luke Young was a 'flavour of the season' for maybe a year or 2 and now he's deadwood where as Insua is a young up and coming player who has already been capped by Argentina.

Was Young capped for England at his age? In fact I don't think you will find many players as good as him in his age bracket.

This must be a typo surely ??? You're saying Insua will be worth 10 million in 3 years time? English pounds?

If there was a run on sterling and it's value was slashed by 80% then it may be possible. Other than that, I think it's about as likely as you hailing Roy Hodgson as an improvement on his predecessor Bav.

Or as likely as you going a day without a reference to Roy's predecessor.

I don't have much choice Bav when the Rafa Rememberence Society include him in every argument they make  If I didn't talk to you lads about him, I wouldn't be able to talk to you at all because you remain utterly obsessed with his every move.

Imagine the contrast between your response between Torres staying under Roy "it's feck all to do with the manager" and your response if Rafa was still here  The fake goatee would be on, it'd be "In Rafa we trust :buttrock No?", we'd be studying rotational diagrams, p!ssing ourselves laughing at his latest dance routine and telling all and sundry that the ONLY reason we had any decent players was because of the Lord Almighty who writes notes on the back of an envelope every week. Until you lot lose your obsession, your devotion to your guru, I'm afraid every thread on every subject will get steered in the direction of your spiritual leader.

See now your just dreaming up senarios. Let's be honest, Rafa was never shy when it came to talking about what the management were doing was he? Also i'm sure Torres would have been just as concerned about the future direction of the club if Rafa was still here.

I'm just happy the club convinced him to stay because if they done that then maybe there is something positive on the horizon in the way of a takeover.

You never know Mick, Fernando could come back from hols and say 'It was Roy who convinced me to stay' Bet you'd be on here like a flash if that happened.  :eyebrow  :D
