It is starting to get a bit worrying now, and the longer it is dragged on the less chance we have of getting a replacement should the unthinkable happen.

Just for a moment try to remember that Torres was the captain of his team when he played in Spain.  Yes he bit his tongue the first two years, but you know what, there comes a time when a player needs to stick up for himself.

I think your eyes need checking if you think Torres sulked too much after a ref didn't award a foul.  Yes, Torres might have been in the ref's ear for the rest of the match, but unfortunately that seems to be part of the game now.

Hell watch a Scum game and have your pick over which one of Fletcher, Rooney, Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, are giving the ref the most?  I'm not saying it's right, Just consider that Torres plays for a club who's Captain isn't exactly known for his vocal support.  Torres is just trying to protect himself when it comes to moaning towards the refs.

The fact that he plays for LFC and is no longer captain of AM is the here and now, and is all I'm concerned with.
Do you really think I don't want to go and watch a player of his class in a red shirt?
What I'm saying is that all things considered there are question marks over him that don't sit well with me.
As for comparing his sulking, for me there's a difference because with Nando it seemed to put him right off his game and he was as good as a man down at times.
But most of all hes NOT committed to the club in this bad time, and we need players who want to roll their sleeves up and get us back in the mix.
So for me, the unthinkable has to be seriously considered for the greater good.

Even so, we still have to work harder to keep our stars.

I think it was Roy himself who said if fernando leaves, the damage could be done before he had the chance, and i agree in all honestly. And for the record, i don't believe any player is bigger than a club, but to me, letting go of stars is almost a symbolism for the downfall of a club, which is exactly what every player in that dressing room would be thinking if he walks.

Could be that, maybe that the club got rid of Rafa, could be he asked for a pay rise or some contractual wrangling, could be anything

Dont think its got anything to do with Rafa tbh, I remember when he signed his new contract he wanted assurances that top quality players were gonna be brought in . Im just annoyed that its Christie doing all the talking to him, someone who knows nothing about football, and its not Roy talking to him, selling him his ideas on what he wants and how he wants the team to go,

Could well be, just putting out a few more suggestions as I doubt the list of possibilities is limitless. He might just be hacked off with the whole situation, being injured, Rafa shoved out the door, cr ap signings last season and finishing seventh as a comedown from Runners-Up as well as decent but no 'trophy' signings as yet.

Surely if it was concern over signings then he'd have it out and hand in a transfer request though.................... Sulking won't get him anywhere, he either is happy with the signings or wants a move if that is an/the issue

he was told that money was to be spent on new players last year and felt that the players taken to the club were poor. He felt that he was not used in the right way and felt that he had to play other roles to fill missing gaps.
he felt missunderstood by the manager and felt the club did not help him.

on the other side to this the club did deal with he thing about the manager.

He will be under no illusions of where the club stands at the moment
I don't believe for a minute that he hasn't spoken to the likes of SG, Carra and Pepe
The fact that he wont come out and commit speaks volumes for me, we have a new manager and the club is up for sale.
In my eyes if hes not willing to give us at least another season at this time, then his real value lies in the £60ml we could get for him.

That's right nanny, From the look of it his main beef is that the squad wasn't strengthened. I read somewhere that promises have been broken. Don't think it's wage issue to be honest because he signed a new contract only last year. That is when 'promises' were made probably. If  wage was the issue he wouldn't have signed the contract extension. When we spent less than we recouped for two consec seasons that's probably when he got disenchanted with the club... Sounds to me like he has the same issues as rafa had...
