According to SSN Transfer clock-watch.... If Torres wants to go, Hodgson is going straight in for Forlan?

Torres is probably waiting for who else we sign. If we get a Left back which looks to be figuroa and another attacker i think he will commit. We definitely need another striker to make him commit though. The wing isn't needed as much bring in Pacheco instead. But i firmly believe when we sign another striker he will commit as he probably feels it's all on his shoulders to score which is.

and we want to sell him for that amount why?

Because if he isny committed get shut and get as much money as we can.
Anyone who doesnt want to play for LFC should be shown the door asap. If he wants to play he should commit now.
If not, fu'ck off.

I am not too worried as to what happens with Torres now. Whatever he decides I think we win on this anyway. If the lad stays on then great, top player we crack on and move forward. If he doesnt fancy it then we are losing a player who doesnt want to be at Liverpool and so hes no good to us anyway and we bring in two top lads who want to play here and a do a job for the club. I see the Forlan link and I wouldnt be unhappy to see him come in, hes in top nick at the moment, goals, set pieces, all round team work, good player no question about it.

he was told that money was to be spent on new players last year and felt that the players taken to the club were poor. He felt that he was not used in the right way and felt that he had to play other roles to fill missing gaps.
he felt missunderstood by the manager and felt the club did not help him.

on the other side to this the club did deal with he thing about the manager.

Im sorry Lakes but that is Bull. :censored: misunderstood and he walked in to the board room. if thats the case , and i dont want to bring this up as this thread is not about him. but they interviewed the Spanish National team just before the world cup , asking each player who was the one person who gave the best advice to them since they were kids, and held in high esteem, Fernandos answer was Rafa Benitez, and ive read that interview with my own eyes. ill tryand  find it. Some players said there dads . others said either a coach when they were younger or now, So i think what your saying is rubish .i think i believe Fernando more that what your saying . because the words came from him.

and you forget his injury proneness the past two seasons, hes constantly injured, then back for 6 games then injured

you cant rely on him, hes forever not match fit cause hes getting back from some injury

Forlans a good player, no doubt about it. I wouldn't be up for getting absolutely striped on the fee as I don't think he's THAT good, but if we got a wedge for Torres, somewhere around 20 million should be doable.

Can we not just have one thread where we don't continuously hark back to the previous manager?

Torres clearly wants to win things, and REGARDLESS OF WHO'S FAULT IT IS there are clubs which offer more realistic chances of winning things at the moment than we do. He's just seen his national team win the World Cup from the bench in the important games, and it's a regret that will live with him forever, his chance at footballing immortality snatched away by injury, tiredness and having a season in a very poorly performing domestic team.

He'll no doubt look at the likes of Chelsea and Barca and figure (rightly lets be honest here) that in the short term at least, he's got more chance of winnig things and more chance of forcing his was back to number one striker for his country. If he wants to leave THAT'S why he wants to leave.

Just for once lets cut the b0ll0cks about the previous manager either being his mentor or the reason he wants away.

The only thing that annoys me is that players sometimes leaves it too late to make a decision. And leaves the manager in a limbo in getting a replacement, quickly as possible as soon as they want to leave.

For example one day we might be interested in an ideal replacement... it drags on a week and that player has signed for another club.

I couldn't stomach Suarez. Not for the handball (which was fair enough IMHO), but the silly c... spends more time on his erse complaining than he does playing. I can't abide players like that, a fecking ersehole of the highest order.

If Torres wants to go so be it. But any club that wants him is going to have to fork out 60mil at the very least. Barca can't afford him unless they throw in a few players and Chelsea have already said they won't be going for him so it only really leaves City or maybe Inter. Even in Inters case they could not afford him outright.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.
