Shouldnt of even been taken the world cup imo he should have had plenty of rest and rehabilitation after his op . and im almost sure you would of seen the Fernando terrorising Arsenals defence first day of the season, Im fed up with him being rushed back from injury , only from that injury to lead to another one, the lad needed rest and hopefully this time he wont be rushed back and gets 100 per cent fit and no problems before he come back, and if that means him out for even a month after the season stats then so be it, Let him get right and we will have our Fernando back, There is not a chance in hell i would sell him beause when the lad is fit he is the best .simple

I'm going to put you into the "machine gunners" section ben. You need to report to Benny the Noon's office first thing tomorrow morning and you will be issued with your standard grade Kalashnikov. He'll also have an instruction book and your rapid fire internet connection all sorted for you.

Dundalk is right on this one, easy
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Yeah if its him doing the talking and roy isnt involved at all then I think thats suggests the issue isnt (just) about football.

someone dug up some stats on players that have been out for sometime and how they were before they got hurt and after they come back.

worked out that most only ever started 68% of first team games for the rest of their playing days (Owen.Gazza,Henry and many more)

so should we sell him now?
well if we did we could still make a mint out of him and use the money to buy two good strikers.
I feel there is a risk that we might never see the Torres of two seasons ago again.

It surely depends on the kind of injury though? Gazza`s was a knee injury.
You could be right about Torres though but then had he not been injured he would of probably been sold by now.
If he has another season like last whats he worth then? I dont tnink he`ll want to go to another english side though, I reckon he would want go back home or Italy. A less physical league anyway, he`s commented a few times about how hard it can be playing a season at the sharp end of the premier.

Hodgson was asked if there was any news on Torres' situation, and he told Sky Sports News: "No, but Christian might be able to if you got hold of him. I haven't spoken to him for the last two days he's been travelling back from Spain where he's been on holiday.

"His holiday has also been taken up a lot of time by discussions with Fernando and his people, so I'm afraid the only person who can give you the type of details you require is Christian. It would be wrong of me to say too much."

Hodgson is now hoping Torres will public pledge to stay with Liverpool.

"That's what I'm hoping for, yeah," Hodgson said. "I made it clear from my point of view I'm really looking forward to working with him and I believe he's a key, key figure at the club. I obviously want him to be a part of the team we're trying to build here and I can only hope he'll buy into what the club is offering him.

"I don't think there are any worries with him in terms of me personally or what we're doing. I think the concerns go back once again to the time before I came to the club."

World class player without a doubt, but sadly I still think its time to cash in on him.
Personally I think he will always have injury problems in the Prem, How many games does he go more than ten minutes before being clattered from behind by some big hairy arsed defender? and then spends the rest of the game sulking and complaining to the ref about it?
But most of all hes not fully committed to the club and I think if he does stay we will see more of the same next season.
Then he will be gone at a much reduced price and RH will have lost a season of rebuilding.
Its always about the club for me and I would sooner see £60ml spent on the team now than take a chance on a player who is without a doubt injury prone and it has to be said has a questionable attitude on the pitch when things arnte going his way
Hes also proving that he hasnte got the type commitment to the club that we need more than ever right now.
All things considered I think we have look at whats best for LFC as a whole.

Just for a moment try to remember that Torres was the captain of his team when he played in Spain.  Yes he bit his tongue the first two years, but you know what, there comes a time when a player needs to stick up for himself.

I think your eyes need checking if you think Torres sulked too much after a ref didn't award a foul.  Yes, Torres might have been in the ref's ear for the rest of the match, but unfortunately that seems to be part of the game now.

Hell watch a Scum game and have your pick over which one of Fletcher, Rooney, Giggs, Scholes, Ferdinand, are giving the ref the most?  I'm not saying it's right, Just consider that Torres plays for a club who's Captain isn't exactly known for his vocal support.  Torres is just trying to protect himself when it comes to moaning towards the refs.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

He definitely needs to shake of his bad cases of the Ronaldos, you've been fouled, it hasn't been given, GET ON WITH THE F IN GAME  :veryangry

He and Mascherano need counselling on it, Mascherano needs to control himself and not keep yapping at the ref like a little dog snapping at his heels. Might be best if yesterday's rumours AGAIN linking him with a move to Inter were true, we need team players not players with chronic complaintitis

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson admits he is running out of options in his bid to keep Fernando Torres at Anfield.

The new Reds boss, who briefly met with the Spain international for the first time last week, insists Torres' apparent reluctance to commit himself to another season with Liverpool pre-dates his time at the club.

"Unfortunately, I cannot do much more," Hodgson admitted in quotes reported by the News of the World. "His beef is with the club and not me."

He added: "Fernando's situation has nothing to do with me, he made that perfectly clear over the phone during the World Cup and when I met him face-to-face.

"He knows what I would like to do with the club. He knows how much I value him.

"But his issues are with what has gone on in the past rather than the future.

"If he has problems with the club for things in the past, it is difficult for me to dismiss that."
