Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Maybe that's why he was happier when maxi came to the club. Maybe they should also hire an Argentinian maid, an Argentinian cook and an Argentinian gardener... That'll take care of mash, his misus and their bellies ... :D

Sign Banega !
(Allegedly !) as good as Alonso.
Speaks their lingo.
Will, through the use of his cultured passing, "pass" us to the Premiership title next season...
Oh, and will keep Masch happy for the next 12 months as well...

:D

Lads, lets me honest whilst Mashers a good player he's not the brightest light on the christmas tree and true to form I'll bet he married the  local Buenos Aires good time girl so yes, I'm sure she doesnt speak a dickybird of english but is that the clubs fault, Masher's fault or simply her fault?  Horses for courses and whilst she probably thinks she's Cheltenham quality, I suspect she's really point to point at Bangor.

Don't agree with this bit at all.  To me he's a top player for his role and he offers the team something very important.  With that said, I agree with your other points.  Tons of people move abroad for work and have to deal with the culture shock of living in a foreign land without a fraction of the money and support that Masch and his family get off Liverpool Football Club.  To whinge about this kind thing strikes me as petty and immature.  Now, where's Andy's f.uck football thread...  :glare:

Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired

They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me

Don't cry for me Argentina

I think he's a good ball stopper. Fine in his defensive role, but adds nothing else. Hence, I think he's a one trick pony. In fact, I think he can be a liability at times the way he charges areound the field like an idiot.

I've never grown that attached to him in his time here and I've always thought that he just isn't that smart a lad and if he wants to go, I won't be shedding any tears.

Fair enough, mate.  I used to share your concerns and he used to wind me up something awful with his moaning to refs and off-target shots from distance.  But, I think he has improved his discipline over the course of this season and has added some good passing and crossing to his game.  As for the ball-stopper comment, I agree completely but I think that's a very important role and there's no one better at it in the game for me.  In fact, he's so good at it that I think Rafa could have done the side a favour a long time ago and surrounded him with attacking players rather than tethering him to Lucas (and, before that, Alonso).  We don't need two holding midfielders with Masch on the pitch.

So now Mascherano is an idiot  ??? What's up run out of derogatory names for the Manager and Lucas ?

Mascherano is an exceptional player who is possibly at present the best defensive midfielder in the world ,just how good does a Liverpool player have to be for you to shed a tear when we are threatened with losing them exactly   ???

He makes it sound like he's in prison or something

:D

TBH though I can;t blame him for wanting what's best for his family,  4 months of below 10c or Barcelona as a spanish speaking family when your used to warm conditions

I think his off but if we could get Toure in I would be happy.  However I dont think Toure would come to Liverpool right now.  Reality is no CL football and no real hope of challenging for major honours means top players will look at other options.

His kids have had two years in an english school they must be settled in by now, its sounds like he just hates having to sit with his moody wife.

I`d be gutted when he leaves, but then theres no way he`s going to sign a new deal so he`ll have to be sold next season if not this.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,
