I'm stumped. Someone asked me what my favourite American Sit-com was, and I really couldn't choose. I'm torn between Scrubs and Frasier, but I threw in some other options just for you. Any Ideas?

For it's sheer multi-level humour Frasier has got to be one of the best ever comedies made. You get the visual and cliched humour that you'll get in other sit-coms but it also has complex multi-layered and well scripted jokes that no other tv comedy from the states has come up with.

I also like scrubs but with so many channels showing so many different series and at different times lately i've totally lost track of it but whenever i do see it i still pmsl.

Other american sit-coms that i enjoy that haven't been included on the list are EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND & TWO AND A HALF MEN on the paramount channel. Two and a half men which stars charlie sheen is really funny as he plays a bachelor who like his drink and women but has to adjust his life style when his brother and brother's young son come to live with him.

Friends on the other hand used to be good but at times now can really piss me off. I mean how many fookin' times are channel 4 and e4 gonna repeat it and apart from jennifer anniston and her fine pointy nips isn't worth watching.

Frasier for enduring quality

Enjoyed both Friends and Spin city but they went way past their use by date

Yeah! Everbody Loves Raymond is feckin' funny. His parents absolutely crack me up as does his brother. It's a shame that it has now finished but i'm still enjoying all of the repeats on paramount and C4. The later episodes that were shown on C4 last year were really good and not to mention how fit his wife was gettin' all I can say isMILF!!

Raymond is good, but I could only fit 10 on the list. If it went to 11, then he would have got there.

I haven't seen the latest episodes, but IMHO it's got to be up there with the best programs ever.
