I should have mentioned that when the question was asked of me, I wasn't allowed to pick an animated show. If I could then I would have added The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, South Park, Ren and Stimpy and American Dad. I guess they're not really "sit-coms".

Malcolm in the middle is classic - finally an American show worth watching!
The combo of the Dad and the Older brother (reece) is comedy gold

Well on the list I picked M*A*S*H.
Absolutely hilarious to an 8-year-old!!!!!!!

The best comedy to come from the yanks is probably South Park.

The best comedy ever from any part of the World is Family Guy. (Canada).

(Although thinking about it, isn't South Park written and made by Canadians?)
