I really want him to stay at this club, anyone calling him a shows how fickle some can be at times. He gave us five years great service and he cannot be faulted for that. Believe me if my work tried to offload me they would have been kucky to get another year out of me before I told them to do one. In this whole thing I can understand Xabi's mindset, but swallow your pride lad and win this league with us!

Sabre's picture has me wondering...what if we were to bring Arteta across the park to replace Xabi if he goes?  Another cultured midfielder that's  certainly shown he's suited to the English game.  It would wind the Bitters up no end as well.

A different type of player Bob, but one that I'd definitely have at LFC, especially if we're going to be a midfielder short if Alonso goes.  I've mentioned him before on here and think he's a great shout.

I always knew he would go. Just glad he still has a few years left on his contract so we are not going to be strong armed over this one. All this talk of us being linked with Ribery makes me think there is some money somewhere perhaps, so what I am getting at is hopefully we are not ependant on the Alonso money for further signings so Rafa should stay stubborn in the Alonso deal forcing Madrid to cough up.
