yet another ex liverpool player talking

Speaking as someone who has been accused of it many times without justification, I do this time think people mare being a bit quick to condemn Alonso. If, as seems to be the case he really doesn't get on with the manager anymore, then surely his stellar efforts last season are the epitomy of a good professional.
He'll have had his Mrs tearfully in his earhole every day he got back from pre-season training "What's happening Xabi, I can't live like this, we're having a baby. FFS" (she might not have said the last bit I just put it in for effect). "Can't you have a word with Benitez, tell him you want a decision?". I can just see Xabi thinking I need all this sh!t like a hole in the head. Eventually of course it all blows over as nobody is prepared to pay the 16 million quid fee, and he gets back to work.
And how he works. He's stuck at least 10 million quid on top of his transfer value, he helped us play our best football for 20 seasons, and he's conducted himself by and large pretty well. People talk about him b eing vague, but that's only in the press. For all we know, he could have told Rafa on the final day of the season "Look, I'm off in the Summer just so's you know".
The guy has been a fantastic player for Liverpool and a model pro. He's given us five good years and he wants to go home. Let him go with dignity I say, both his and ours.
Yeah poor little lamb, what's he on, £75k a week, times is hard, times is hard.![]()
I have no problem with him wanting to move on or even with him hating Rafa, but trying to feck LFC out of much needed transfer money by destabilising the negotiations in Real Madrid's favour is way way out of order and if true I will never forgive him, plus I have never really liked him as a player anyway, far too defensive for my liking although he can pass the ball quite well.

he was asked on talkshit will Alonso leave, he said (and i am only going by other forums here) yes, he has not been happy at the club since the 4-4 draw with Arsenal.
reporter: as far back as then ? why
things happend during that game and after that game, he had a run in with the boss just before kick off so i am told and again after, soon after he had a run in with 5 team mates, so to say that i am happy to have moved..yes.
the other forum has taken it down as it was on talkshit so what i just posted is what i saw.
juist look on talkshit site and there no LISTEN AGAIN for it , not even sure when it was said but must have been today or a few days ago.

we all dream... wrote:surely if he came out and said i want 2leave we would have 2sell meaning RM could offer less money. If on the other hand he keeps his trap shut we can demand more? I don't want him 2go but feel if we go 25mil plus a player it could prove beneficial for us. People should lay off him. We are Liverpool Football Club, we respect those who have done us proud!
