Djibril cisse has apologised - This trouble maker in action again

Marseille striker Djibril Cisse has apologised for his petulant response to being substituted at the weekend.

The Frenchman showed his disappointment after he was withdrawn in the second half of l'OM's game against Nancy on Saturday.

Cisse, on a season-long loan from Liverpool, was playing in only his second game since breaking his leg prior to the World Cup in the summer.

The 25-year-old understands the reasons behind the decision but insists he wants to be a success at the Stade Velodrome this season.

"I regret my gestures, but that is my temperament. I said sorry and I shouldn't have done it," Cisse said.

"They don't want to take risks with me. But when you are a player, and you leave the pitch feeling you haven't given everything you can, you don't think like that.

"I didn't come here to twiddle my thumbs, to play for a season and go back to England. I have targets and want to win titles."

Some players just don't get it do they? When has a player EVER benefited from doing "I am very unhappy with this"- gestures when subed? They've given him a unique chance, nursing him through half of his loan contract, and this is how he repais them in his first game from start? I don't even think he understands how stupid that is, and that's his and his likes biggest problem.

Hes passionate and he wants to play. Loads of players do the same thing when substituted, its not right but at least hes apologised.

A lot of players aren't happy to come off the bench but considering that they signed him despite that he had a leg in a cast, he should be a bit more grateful.

Two, just because he isn't happy doesn't mean he has the right to act like a child.

His attitude can be summed up in one word: shit

damn some people go on like he killed someone.  have you actually seen the reaction?

it was nothing major at all and Cisse was straight back into the team for the game against St Etienne.  he was disappointed as he felt he was not tired and the fact that Marseille were losing the game did not help.
