Liverpool Football Club - Games

Never mind how all the other clubs are doing or who’s dropping points, if we don’t sort our own form out it’s all immaterial. We need to win.

Mentioned it on the other thread, if only we had won at least 2 out of the 6 losses at home. How much difference it would have made. It all may come down to that shyte form we went through.

Yakka is right though, let's fekin win our game first.

Agreed. We need to continue winning no matter what.

Fabinho back in midfield and Phillips needs to start, that's all I care about.

We have plenty of time to prepare for this so we can have no excuses. Injury wise it's just Vvd, Gomez and Hendo so it's pretty much a full squad to choose from.

Fabinho should stay in midfield with Phillip's and Kabak behind him. I'd go with pretty much the same side that started against Leipzig.  Keita hopefully gets at least 30 minutes to keep him progressing as well. These will be tougher to beat but that setup had us playing with a bit of intensity so stick with it.

Top 4 or bust!!

I was really impressed with our hunger and initiative vs leipzig so i'd also stick with the same starting 11...afterall it isn't like we haven't had time to recover.

A win here tomorrow night and we will be 5 points off Chelsea with 9 games to go.

Time to finally get our act together this season.

You could say that City and United and maybe Leicester are assured top 3 places, so LFC are fighting for 4th along with Chelsea, Spurs, Everton and West Ham. Consistency will be the key so if we can start to win again I hope... the other teams will continue to drop points and allow us to get back into contention.

We have to win all our remaining games though, draws simply aren't enough. On a happier note I believe VVD, Gomez and Hendo are the only first team squad players injured, everyone else is available.

Chelsea is the real competition for 4th and although they arent losing games they are drawing plenty and will put a few more on the board before the season ends. That will be more than enough for us if we go on a run.

We have 3 injuries that we can do nothing about so we have more or less a full squad to choose from. After this we have the best part of 3 weeks to rest up and come back at full pelt for the run in.

They have to start getting consistency in the league because they would be a bunch of muppets thinking we can plod away as we are and somehow turn it around for european nights.

LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS

Team to play Wolves: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Thiago, Mane, Jota, Salah.

Subs: Adrian, Milner, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, R Williams, N Williams.

No Firmino and to be honest I would have Jota over him for the remaining games of the season anyway even when fit.
Jota has the X factor and looked full of confidence last time out -something we have been lacking for far too long...

Get in Jota, we've definitely missed him.

It’s been a strange 45 minutes, we’ve been a bit sloppy and lackadaisical but at the same time created the 2 best chances of the half which Mane should have done better with in truth.
The main thing though is that we are winning, at this stage of the season points are everything so let’s just hope in this second half we can either kick on or hold on, just don’t get pegged back.

65 mins in and still only 1 shot on target.  Keita on now so with any luck can spark something up front.
