Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby red till i die!! » Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:11 pm

Hump day is almost over so we can start looking forward to this.  Coming off a good Derby win with a clean sheet is positive along with our bench looking somewhat beefed up with the returnees. Even though they are not currently winning like they did they will still give us a game of it.

I wouldn't make a lot of changes from the side that started against the bitters unless what's coming in is 100% fit. Wouldn't start jota either but would bring him on early second half.

I'm going for the win because we have options now to change it if needed and that will be the key imo.

These lot have been sketchy recently but are able to hold onto a draw, only one loss this season, let's double it.

We have to turn the tide now and get some consistency. With injured lads coming back this is our shot to try and make something of this season.

I really hope we get one over Real Madrid, we've faltered against them too many times in recent years, it's time we change that.

It's a massive ask that players coming back from prolonged injury can suddenly beat a confident Newcastle and the mighty Real Madrid.
Ask yourself if we only have the players for one full-on game, which would you rather win, Newcastle or RM? Think it's got to be Newcastle to stay in top 4 contention.

I'll put more value on the win at Newcastle.
BUT I also anticipate a 3-1 win for us at home to Madrid   :buttrock

Newcastle haven’t looked the same after the WC and I think they scored 3 goals in the last six matches. We have some injured players back so our forward line should look better. No reason why we shouldn’t win this.

We put in a performance against the bitters and seem to have turned a corner. With most of the forward line back in training we are in a good place for this game.

Well we've either turned a corner or we're getting a reality check later today. Guess we'll see.

Hard to tell with us these days.

We've either turned a corner onto a run for the top 4 or we'll turn the wrong way and end up back to where we started before everton with a defeat  :D

Why the fk do we choose this season to fall off the charts when City are having it all their own way. The league this year will probably won by a team with less than 90 points. Newcastle won’t be easy and we need to display the same levels of intensity that got us the win over Everton. Good to see VVD back. With the right attitude we can give RM something to think about.

Great passes by both Trent and Mo and well finished. Glad to see both Nunez and Gapko on the scoresheet

Hendo and Salah had a point about Fab's yellow card. His tackle was after the whistle, we lost our best player like that with no sanctions against the oppo player a couple of seasons ago.

Anyway, red for Pope now,  deservingly.
