Thought i'd double check. As usual the match thread is full of whoppers pre-occupied with criticism and big fingers to point when the lads have just come through a tricky Cup tie to advance to the last 16 completely forgetting everythign that has gone on this season.

Yeah that was great to see, Stevie normally looks a bit morose when he's wathcing the rest of the lads play so would good to see what thye goal meant to him. I don't know if it's just me but he seems really energised to be playing for Kenny this season, in years gone by he would have been sulking after the season we've had but he seems to have grown up a bit as a Captain.

You going West Ham Sange?

theres was a great atmosphere in the ground last night, their fans we great and very funny at points and they loved it when we did YNWA and most even clapped when it ended.
at the end of the game even when they got beat you could tell that had had a great time.

our fans were great last night, for the first time you could feel joy in the ground.....ok that might sound silly but i mean it, for too long its felt a place full of stress but not last night, not even at 80 mins.

We won but lets not paper over the cracks. Over the two games we were sh'ite and this against a team that we would have expected to beat far more comfortably.

Short term, with the return of Gerrard and the availability of Suarez and Carrol we'll look a 100% better.

Long term ? massive re-building required if we're to become one of the regular "top four" again.
