By the time I'd made up my mind Devaney there where only two hotels in the centre with availability, the Hilton (£300 +) and the Thistle (£155). I took the Thistle

. Decent enough hotel, bottom end of Chapel St just behind the Liver building. Had a great weekend up there.
Pre match had lunch in one of the hospitality suites and got to talk to Dave "Supersub" Fairclough and Jimmy Case. Had seats in the first row of the upper tier of the Centenary Stand plumb on the halfway line.
Game wise delighted with the win but tbh at times it was like watching an exhibition match, that's how easy it was, not complaining but would have preferred something a tad more competitive.
