Awful game by us. First goal for them was expected however we could have still won it but their second was just unnecessary and pretty much killed our chances for victory.

All in all a bad start to the season.

With Hindsight  , given the press from Fulham in the first half we really should have started with Nunez. Threat of a long direct ball would have pinned them back.
He was on the bench, I'm surprised that Jurgen , seeing how the game was going didn't bring him on in the first half.

Fair play to Fulham, they worked their socks off, and for half the game we just weren't at it.

Hopefully come end of the season we're not looking back at points dropped in games like this as having cost us a title.

2 points dropped there!!

1st half we were awful, second to everything and deservedly behind. No spark to our play at all just routine pass move and hoof.
We improved a bit in the second after a few changes which got us back into it but faded off a bit and went behind to the pen. We did well in spells but not enough to take the win.

A lot of pressure on Nunez already to carry the can so thankfully he did well when he came on. His runs are luike a proper striker, his movement and instinct to attack the ball is something we badly needed. Links up well with Mo also. Carvalho and Elliot also did quite well.

Well that was sh1t !! Fulham did ok but we were so far off it to give them too much to worry about.

Bobby is a genuine legend of this club but he offers very little goal threat these days, Nunez changed the game when he came on, not everything comes off for him and not everything is on target but he carry’s a threat and gives defenders problems. CB’s have their deckchairs out and their pipes and slippers when Bobbys on.
This league is just way too competitive to take liberties with the line up, I’d never heard of half of Fulham’s players but they were as skilful as f**k.
Wether that’s 2 points lost or a point gained we won’t know till next May but one thing we do know is that we have to more committed than we was today, we got outworked and outbattled today.

Losing Thiago is a blow, we are a bit light in midfield, apparently Keita is injured so I guess it will be Milner or Elliot in there for the foreseeable

Sucks for us.

Credit to Fulham.  They challenged for every ball.  I thought we started very slowly and it just let them build into the game.

Yes.  We had possession but, a lot of it amounted to nothing.

Pre season hurt.  Should have spent more time working together than flying all over the world.

We’ll bounce back but, yes that’s two points lost, and we know what that could mean come May.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Was hoping we would've gone on a good wining streak to begin with but it ended on our first match.

Klopp definitely needs to start Nunez next game. Whenever he come on he changes the game. Quite few players looked off it and seemed like they were expecting a casual Fulham. Props to Fulham they played well. We move on lets win the next few games.

Bad start and an awful performance, lucky to get a point!, Salah (most highly paid) Firmino and Trent have picked up where they have finished last season, they were all useless as ever, especially Salah who keeps laughing at his action failures.

It was wrong to take Diaz off, it should have been the useless Salah, Thanks for Nunez who has saved us.  Urgent improvement is needed.

Good Luck Lads.
