Liverpool vs Everton 12:30 KO 20/09

Liverpool Football Club - Games

So we host our neighbours here for a tough encounter. They've had a decent start to the season and are buzzing with Grealish.

Expecting a edgy match and hoping we seal this one convincingly.

Hopefully Isak to get his first goal.

Early days yet but City face Arsenal and if they win we could be 6 points ahead of Arsenal.

Your last sentence is the key to our entire season imo. We need to create a gap.
To be fair to Arsenal as it stands they are only 3 points behind us [which is nothing with 95% of the season to go] plus they've played us away, United away, Forest [who were no push-overs last year] and after tomorrow they'll have another of their toughest fixtures out of the way as well. If they turn City over they'll be in great shape. This is why we need to win today and why we need to keep on winning,
Our title success last year was built on us getting our noses ahead, building a lead and then letting scoreboard pressure do the rest, putting distance between us and the other title contenders early doors, putting them under pressure every time they take to the field is the key to everything imo. As you say this could already be a pivotal weekend.

Man it's so nice to have a proper no.9 for a change. 2-0 Ekitike.

Some fantastic play. Amazing goal from Grav and another assist from Mo. Ekitike what a finish, Need another one quickly in the second half. These blue gits have looked better in the last 10 minutes. Don’t want it going to 2-2 again !!

Great first half hour, let them back into it a bit but i would have bitten your hand off if you'd offered me a 2-0 lead at HT before kick off. Hopefully we can kick on and put not only the game but this 2-0 curse to bed second half. Come on Reds!!

Why can’t we kill games off?

Need at least 1 more to put this to bed.

We've not started this second half well and Everton deserved that goal. We need to wake up.

FT: Liverpool 2-1 Everton

Perfect 5 / 5 but frustrating how we started the 2nd half. Should have put this to bed early but I'm a bit upset that we even gave those ***** Bitters a good 30 minutes of hope

Good game overall, another 3 points. We actually managed to keep a lead this time so it's an improvement in that department I guess, even though we gave them a chance to come back.

Phew, thank goodness for that. We made heavier weather of that game than we should have but as the old saying goes 3 points covers a multitude of sins, lets just bank the points and move on, if we keep on winning we'll play ourselves into good form, the important thing is to just keep winning.
