GUANGDONG SUNRAY CAVE VS LIVERPOOL - 13th July 13.00 ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Raoul » Mon Jun 27, 2011 8:42 am

My tickets for the game arrived today. Anyone else on here going to this game?

Really looking forward to seeing the new boys get a run out.

Not really sure what to expect from the crowd, but I guess there will be plenty of people travelling up from HK for the game, so it should be a pretty noisy crowd, full of plenty of true Reds.

Guangdong Sunray Cave? Yep. Sunray Cave are a bottled water company. Lots of the pro teams in China are named after their sponsors. I'm a bit surprised we are playing Guangdong Sunray Cave, who play in the Jia League (2nd division), and not Guangzhou Evergrande* who are a Super League (1st division) team, since both teams are based in Guangzhou.

*Evergrande incidentially is a property development company. The team used to be called Guangzhou Pharmaceutical.

I almost went to Guangzhou last year, before deciding to go Thailand. But China is on my list of places to do.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

We were supposed to play Beijing Tampax but they are going through a bad period at the moment. :wwww
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Now this is interesting:

Win the chance to meet LeBron James

06.07.11

To celebrate Liverpool's pre-season friendly in China this month, we're giving one lucky supporter the chance to win a money-can't-buy meeting with basketball legend LeBron James.

He's one of the world's biggest sporting stars - and also has an ownership interest in LFC - and he could be meeting YOU when he arrives in China this August.

It's the prize of a lifetime and it could be yours if you have a ticket for the first game of Liverpool's Standard Chartered sponsored 2011 Asia tour against Guangdong Sunray Cave in Guangzhou on Wednesday July 13, 2011.

One ticket number will be selected at random during halftime and then announced inside the stadium. If you have the winning ticket then you and a guest of your choice  will receive an all expenses paid trip to meet the world's greatest basketball player.

Match tickets for the game are on sale now - so buy yours today and as well as having the chance to watch Kenny Dalglish's side live on Chinese soil for the first time, you will also be in with a chance of coming face to face with a sporting legend later in the summer.

The cave game is live on lfctv 1PM GMT. Repeated at 8.30. God imagine what we would be called if we were named after our sponsors. ADIDAS STANDARD CHARTERED RED SOX!
