Agreed. He was obviously frustrated as he was getting pushed around a lot, and it's always hard after you miss a pen, but he really did work today. He was everywhere, often dropping to help the defense, and winning everything that came to him. really not a bad performance from the big man.

Lucas and Bellamy were fantastic... Can't decide which one is my MOTM.

Another immense performance. You can't berate Carroll too much for the penalty though, he is a striker all he wants is a goal - regardless of how bad he is at taking penalties.

We are great against the top sides.

We always have been....

I think its down to not showing lesser teams enough respect, by thinking its only Norwitch or Swansea etc..

Aswell as goalkeepers having a stormer and hitting the post umpteen times :grinning:

Wouldn't it be better to get City or United then?

our reserves played some proper pass and move football today

A fantastic 2-0 win in a game that could have gone either way that overshadowed Carroll's pen. miss.
Maxi should be given more chance to play in the PL. His goals may not be world class but at least he can thump them in when the opportunity arises. Overall great win, sleep well tonight my fellow kopites in UK.
