Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Tue Apr 05, 2022 3:16 pm

CL Quarter Final first leg.
With the City game looming up on the horizon it would be very easy for us to take our eye of the ball here but we need to make sure we give these the respect they are due and make sure we actually turn up.
We didn't look particularly convincing getting past Inter in the last round and we are not going to get much further in this competition unless our performance's improve.
This is crunch time, the next 7 weeks could define not just career's but lives.

LFC should go for the kill from the off. Winning this game 3-0 will take the pressure off the return leg and therefore reshape the whole of the April schedule. City will probably try to do the same but hopefully Atletico will give them a physical game.

3-0 - Diaz, Jota and Bobby.

With any luck we will see this game put to bed tonight.  Hopefully the quality we have will enable us to do that.

C'mon the pool  :buttrock  :buttrock

We just need to be oh so careful with Benfica because given their internal difficulties and the fact that they have an interim manager plus they haven’t been playing brilliantly which is exemplified by their league position. However we certainly can’t afford to be complacent becausep teams that aren’t in a happy place are often very dangerous. We should have more than enough and to make sure that the second leg is a formality but it’s going to be very important that we take our A game to Portugal with no messing about!

Could have had 1 or 2 more there as well. Keep that momentum up and it could be over tonight.

Ha...we got a game now. Bad bad mistake from Konate but Robbo was at fault too but a lack of concentration from Ibu there

HT 3-1 we were sloppy in the 2H and gave Benfica a sniff of getting a result here but I'll take a 2 goals cushion back home
