I'd happily miss out on UCL if it means we have to settle for Europa and his out...

Honestly, if that's true, the owners clearly haven't a fookin' iota how to read the room. I can't remember LFC fans being this united in wanting the manager out. Not even with Hodgson or Rogers.
I'm actually falling out of love with the game. Ive honestly never been this depressed being a liverpool fan. I stuck with Rogers i actually thought he talked well and was actually good at man management. Brendans problem was he was horrendous in the transfer market, and become unloyal in his personal life which became a big distraction. Hodgson was a dinosaur when he came to us, he was so out of touch with the modern game, but at least he was a likeable bloke.

We know what we need to do, but we dont do it. We've lost 10 games to the top 9 teams this season. We should realistically be mid-table with our record this season, but the rest of the league have been just as inconsistent than us.

We are 20 points off of the pace this season and playing awful football.

I didnt expect that tonight.

We are just awful. All over the place, outfought for almost everything and clueless up front. Our biggest threat is a CH from set pieces ffs.  We have become just too obvious and predictable that any disciplined team has a good chance of beating us. The fitness level just hasnt been there this season.

Gakpo is an awful player.  Don't care what he does in internationals but out of his depth in the premier league. Even as a squad player at a top side. He needs to go.

Thank fook its over next week. What a shyte season it was as well.

Red I have to agree with virtually everything you say. I hate to say this, but I think.Wirtz for all his talent is finding the Premiership extremely difficult. He is finding it incredibly difficult to come to terms with the pace of football. I just hope that this has been a season of understanding and we can expect a lot from more from him next season possibly under a different manager !!

From today's Daily Teleghraph:

'Liverpool are a shell of what they are supposed to be. Their play is slow, they meander through patches and the fact they can still qualify for the Champions League is a measure of how erratic the Premier League has been rather than it being any great achievement.'

'They have conceded 52 goals so far – a club record for a 38-game campaign – and this was defeat number 20 if you include the Community Shield loss on penalties to Crystal Palace. It is a scandalous figure that makes a mockery of their status. Champions don’t lose 20 games.'

'There was time for Van Dijk to pull a goal back but, really, it was an irrelevance. Two clubs are heading in completely different directions.'

From today's Times:

'They were an utter shambles out of possession once more, but, hey, according to head coach Arne Slot they are a few tweaks over the summer away from being the football team their fans will fall back in love with.'

'This, remember, was meant to serve as a reaction to being booed off at home against Chelsea six days earlier and it is no wonder there is so much anger in the fan base. There has been a lot of focus on last week’s catcalls but it should be pointed out it does not take much for Liverpool supporters to get behind their team also.'

'They play for moments, not matches. A bad habit, especially as they cannot keep clean sheets and are vulnerable at set pieces.'

'And so the sort of test Liverpool regularly flunk was set. That they have now picked up just one point on their travels against those sides in the top nine — one draw, seven defeats — highlights a mentality issue.''

Thank God the FT doesn't do sport.

That was Villa's third oldest starting XI in the premier league era yet they still outran us to the tune of 4 and a half miles.

The lack of fitness on our behalf is totally a reflection of what they are doing in training. Ever since he declared the chaos football was over and being replaced by a more controlled style he allowed standards to drop. His style doesn't require the same level of fitness that Klopps did so training gets altered to suit. I wouldn't think we have as many training sessions either and the ones we do have are more laid back than Klopps. Over time that has caught up with us.

I'm still disgusted after that game. No way did I expect that. Part of me knew we could lose but figured after the booing last week and the chance to secure CL we would come out firing. Again it was more of the same unmotivated disjointed sh1t we see most weeks.

His post match comments are just arrogance. The fans know what a good window can do  :glare:  He said we are already talking to players and he's involved in it so going nowhere. We have been here before with Rodgers and will repeat that if he doesn't start off the season winning.  Alonso gone now to Chelsea but apparently wasn't on the boards list anyway. They like Enrique,  Iraola or Nagelsmann but are fully behind Slot  I'd take Enrique 100%, Iraola not sure if ready for pressure of a big club and no to Nagelsmann.

Enrique had an offer for a lifetime contract with PSG which he declined and he might leave at the end of his current contract at the end of next season, so maybe that's who we're waiting on? The likes of Iraola, Glasner, that German manager that's apparently similar to Klopp are too much of a risk IMO. Enrique would be fantastic and maybe we're playing the long game who knows. Huge damage might be done by then though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Enrique ends up at City after Pep.

Actually makes sense that and it's how we operate. Only thing is they need to make sure they get him on board now with a commitment rather than lose him to City when the time comes.

We are being linked with everyone  the lad from Porto, The lad at Stuttgart and the lad from Al Hilal are the new names cropping up today.

On 59 points, 12 games lost and in a strong position for UCL spot, this season prem has been dire. Arsenal closer to the title now, anti football to win the crown.

Maresco is lined up for City. My Chelsea pals are confident it'll be the end of City.

I think Maresca is a decent manager actually. He's no Pep though, who is among the very best in world football in recent history, and how ***** lucky are Arsenal he's leaving now when they're the ones on top. I can easily see them going on a run of a few title wins in a row.
