if people dont like other peoples thread then why make a contribution to it.
the whole point of a forum is that people can express there views.
if you don't like the thread. dont waste your time slating it. its pointless and sad.

back to the question,
roy evans was the worst manager i had seen in my liverpool years!

Roy Evans is definitely a legend at Anfield. He was a good left-back who has known the glory times under Shankly, Paisley, etc... I respect him a lot but as bigmick mentioned, his kindness was exploited by the some players during his time as manager. That resulted in us winning only the League Cup in 1994-1995 in his 4 years reign as our manager.  However, I do feel he should highly be remembered for his passion for the club although the lack of silverware

Dalglish wrote:Souness is perhaps the ONLY manager worth taking criticism and NOT just for his ability to manage but the release of his heart Op story to teh S*n on the 15th of April was naive at best and extremely disrespectful.

Evans NEVER finished outside the top 4 which these days is good enough to win you the European Cup so it's a bit harsh to have IMO a cheap shot at a loyal and long serving servant of ou great club ???

Totally agree with these comments.

maybe roy didnt win the `treble` but i know who`s side i`d rather go and watch if it was a straight fight between him and houllier. under roy there were a few times when i thought `we might win the league here` but i never thought that under houllier.
