Worried about the fans

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I was chattin to my mum and dad tonight about Heysel and the fans over in Turin, I have to admit that I'm so worried about our loyal bunch that have travelled, I just hope everything goes well on and off the pitch tomorrow night and that those dirty lots (italians) behave   :(

The fans that went over are fools.

They're asking for trouble going to this game. Its unfortunate really. To be honest a few years ago when i was going away in europe regularly i'd have given this one a miss.

This has been done a million times, but you are wrong if you think all the trouble muted will go off.

I have a couple of lads over there for the game, and they where in Milan tonight for the derby (unlucky) and will go the game in Turin tomorrow. They said they have been talking to the Milan fans and they said that all the talk of the Ultras is mostly that, talk.

it says he's 21 on his profile Leon, so that would've made him 18/19 a few years ago, perectly feasible.

Hmmm.

Right, i'm an idiot because i wouldn't walk into a stadium full of Juventus fans and support my team, i'm sorry, but i value my health, my life and my freedom to much to go over there and RISK getting into any sort of trouble.

If that makes me an idiot, then what would make me wise? ???

I've gotta side with Stu on this one to an extent. I certainly wouldn't go to Turin. The vast majority of travelling fans will wonder what all the fuss has been about, but there's still a significant risk that there will be very nasty, albeit isolated, incidents

i thought the italians had a history of just hiding behind whoever was winning at the time (Ie the germans). bunch of cowards really historically.

during the second world war my garandad was caught by the italians in north africa and handed to the germans to become a prisoner of war. he always hated the italians after that, even to this day i wont eat italian food (seriously) but obviously im not narrow minded to tar all italians with the same brush
