Tottenham would swap a £10m player for our £5m one?

I think Rafa ask Jol about Defoe and Jol reponse with swaping HK ...

Maybe you dont understand what I mean by "free is OK" ....

If we going to buy him 1.5m, I would be very upset but free is OK.

I still think that by swaping HK with Defoe is the best way for us . I think now Defoe is NOT happy in Spurs (because lack of 1st team action  ) and because of that, he "out" of England Team. It's also means that he "hungry" for success and "prove" to all ppl that he should be in WC now.

Good point. Although we woulds then be short of options on the left.

With Gonzalez we would have 2 of the best left sided players in the Prem.

Bav, you can't say that when Gonzalez has yet to play a game in the Premiership. From the clips and few matches he's looked good, but Cisse looked good and failed. That comment is not valid.

Why would you want rid of Kewell, and what makes you think Tottenham would swap a £10m player for our £5m one?

if it is true that Portsmouth have had a £10m bid rejected by tottenham for defoe i can't see them selling unless they get £12m - £15m

No one in the purest state of mind would pay anywhere near what Tottenham want for Defoe. For a player who hasn't established himself on the big stages that's just a joke. Considering you could sign Bellamy for £6million and Bent for £8.5million (even Bent is over-priced).

Why would you risk losing one of your best widemen, infact our only wideman for a striker who is wildly over-rated. As I sed before Bellamy and Bent are probably just as good as Defoe, if not better and they'll no doubt be cheaper as well.

Both of them are more  essential to those clubs, I doubt they would cost less than 10m.. Theyd want that anyway..

Gonzalez hasn't proved himself here in England, Riise isn't a winger and Garcia can't seem to keep posession of the ball or put in good passes. Kewell is the best option for the left flank.

Bellamy has a buy-out clause of £6million, I'm lead to believe. I doubt Bent will be sold by Dowie, but them two would certainly be cheaper than Jermain Defoe.

although I hate that :censored: Bellamy, i'd have him over Defoe and Bent for 6 million anyday

All of you calling for Harry Kewell's head are fckwits. He is by far our best option wide left. I have to say Gonzalez looks promising but he needs time to settle. If you think that he is going to come in and be the automatic starter your wrong.

Completely agree Lando.

i'd be very surprised if Kewell was sold.

Bent, Defoe and Viduka are not good enough for Liverpool F.C.

Kuyt, if we could get our hands on him then I would be happy.

This is not necessarily aimed at you Graeme but, I hate the way people say the likes of Bent, Defoe and Viduka are rubbish. You cannot say you were delighted when Rafa signed Crouch. In fact, I was worried. But I think if Rafa thinks they are good enough then he will sign them.

They have to fit into his tactics aswell. I think from the start Rafa knew what he wanted to do with Crouch. In fact I think he'll have already weighed up the options and thought of how each striker he is interested in would fit in.

Rafa is like that, a true tactician. Sure Viduka doesn't seem good enough, but who will be complaining if we sign him and in that season he bangs in 20 goals.

BTW I think saying defoe isn't good enough is b0llocks. I think he is the perfect signing, he's got everything we need, pace and he doesn't half know where the goal is.

He's :censored: off because they will be signed to replace Sissy. :D
