So, I was trying to decide who has been our best outfield player this season and I thought I would ask your opinion.

Now, I know it's not the end of the season, but it's unusual for there not be a standout candidate at this stage(besides Pepe Reina which is why I've made it outfield only).

In some ways it's an indictment of this year, with a shaky defense initially, a lack of goals, unfit superstars and an uncreative defense.

But, if you had to pick one player, who would your vote go to for the best outfield player so far this season?

I've been limited to 10 players so I've picked the big names and those who have made most appearances. The likes of Aquilani, Maxi, Reira etc. just missed out.

I chose Torres but it was between him, Mascherano and Benayoun for me

I would have chosen Torres if he was fit for the season. Masch for me.

But I reckon he's gonna be off in the summer :(

Lucas for me ,in a season of a subsequent  failure to provide any fight whatsoever, then we would have been lost without the tenacity of this fella

I wouldnt say Lucas has been our best player tbh... he has improved the most and has had the best attitude though

Agree with this, no question. I couldn't vote for him as our best player though because ultimately I don't think he's good enough to play CM for us.
