Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I wonder if he would be injured as much if he was on a pay as you play deal. We'll never know because no player would ever accept that deal but I would bet he would actually suck it up and play through the pain. It is a shame as he has more talent than heart!

For a player who knows we are heavily reliant on his ability ,it just seems given his ailments are described as little niggles or a touch of discomfort by the manager, then the  time frame that exists betwixt each injury suggests he's not ready to endure the slightest bit of pain to ease our struggles in front of goal.

I  find it disheartening that he's not prepared to even take to the pitch with the pain ,let alone play through it. Klopp wants players who will run through walls for the opportunity to play for this team ,and at this point in time I don't think Sturridges overall application would justify him a light trot towards the wall in question.

Sturridge can have no complaints imo, He has declared himself fit many times before so klopp is dead right holding him back until he feels he is ready.  Hopefully that will be for our next 2 league games.
We pretty much are reliant on him so when he does come back I at least hope we can get the rest of the season out of him.

Yup we need him now for the rest of the season, injury free. Apart fron Studge i don't know where the goals will comes from. We may hit our worst goal tally ever this season.

he knows that if he's fit he starts - every game!

He's not faking injury.

I hope he makes a speedy recovery and gets back to doing what he does best.

It more a mental thing with this bloke more than anything, but I will also back Klopp's judgement in keeping him in training a little while longer.

He's too valuable to play, we're saving him for the Bournemouth game.

Sell him for a bag of crisps, so tired of his fragility.

Rubbish article that, in the Echo. Says nothing we can't already speculate about. Would love to hear Klopp himself say something out straight.

You just know if we sell him his injuries would clear and he would be a worldy again. We need a striker with the same attributes as him, happy for Sturridge to take his time. This year is a write off anyway, so I don't see what all the hoo-hah is about.
