DANIEL STURRIDGE- Official thread

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I wouldn't say Sturridge is world class like say Suarez or Coutinho.
Suarez or Coutinho are the type of players that would still be quality players no matter what team they played in.

Sturridge is proving though that with good support around him, and confidence from the manager, he is a very very good striker who will score a lot of goals and assist in creating for others too.

Thats the reason we signed him and thats what he is providing us with.
Long may it continue!

Wouldn't call Coutinho world class, not even close.

Very good player though.

Agree with the rest.

I thought he had 9 in 13 last season and 8 in 9 this season.

Do something useful and list his games and goals.

Point still stands though, you're still a t1t.

There is your main problem

He scored 10 in 14 in the league last season plus 1 in 2 in the cup

This season he has scored 7 in 8 in the league and 2 in 2 in the cup.

The game records are all on the LFC website so happy reading

I don't know what is the problem? He is officially the fastest player to score 20 goals for us.

Top Drawer Finish from a top striker. Knew what he was doing the whole time.

Great goal by Sturridge. But I would like to see more link up play between Sturridge and Suarez... Right now both are selfish and always trying to go solo. Some teams would be able to stop them going solo... If that happens they need each other to make plays...

Too selfish...instead of looking to score he should have looked for a team mate to pass to. Stu will be happy with that  :lookaround

Sturridge assisted Suarez twice against Sunderland. Suarez returned the compliment against Newcastle.
Sturridge also put Suarez in for the sending off against Newcastle.

Yes more of that... I was talking about the west brom game where sturridge was desperately trying to get on the score sheet and stopped looking for Suarez

For the first time ever I agreed with Robbie Savage.

He said they were the leagues best strike partnership whilst Hansen said it was RvP and Rooney.
