i honestly dont see much wrong with some of those comments JBG. the fans wetre saying the same thing. and yes the paraphrasing does make the rest look worse than what they were.
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

I think we are both on the same hymn sheet Jim but at opposite ends. I think we both rate Baros as a player, but maybe for different reasons.

I agree with a lot. But if you say Carragher is out of position I must correct you. Central defence is his natural and preferred position. And why did you not comment on Steve Warnock? He is also a part of the team. And Diao and Traore have played just as much as Kirkland, a player you did comment on.

Warnock is a player i forgot about. 6. Looked impressive so far shown glimpses of potential and that he could become a good player in a few years.

Diao and Traore don't need commenting on.

Carragher is a right back. Simple as that. Its his best position by a mile. Just because he lacks attacking abilities doesn't mean he's a centre half. You don't play players out of position to disguise a weakness in their game. Carraghers best position is right back. Any match going fan with an ounce of knowledge will back that up.

You swing a lone hand Stu. Carragher is not a right back, and Carra himself has made it clear that he is a central defender. Central defence is his best position by a mile not RB. As a fullback he has to go forward, go past defenders, make crosses etc. This he can't do. He ain't that kind of player. But he is a marvellous defender and a fantastic teamplayer. Carragher has been one of our best players so far this season, maybe the best. Why? Because he gets to play in his preferred position.

Disagree. Playing in the middle his positional play isn't as good. He always defends like a fullback. He backs off forwards all the time and if you do this against top class forwards they will punish you as he found out with Hasslebaink last season, there was another more recently i think against newcastle but i can't remember. He's not a centre half. He's far better at marking wingers out of games. Pires, Robert, Giggs, Beckham to name a few.

Amazing really when you look at the personal slagging that sometimes goes on on this forum, Ol' stu there puts up his ratingsa nd everybody agrees. Includes me stu. Like one or two others, I feel you may be in love with Riise :D but apart from that spot on. Just goes to show, you can't kid the fans. We basically all agree and want the same thing.

With all those good scores, why arn't we top of the league ?
I think, you are marking Cisse and Baros on their potential and not on their performances.
Bit concerned with the Spanish Lad's, thought they faded in the Chelsea game. Although Josemi had his hands full with Duff and Alonso must have felt
a bit lonely with Diao and Riise alongside him.

In this post we can see a person saying:

Carragher is a right back. Simple as that. Its his best position by a mile. Just because he lacks attacking abilities doesn't mean he's a centre half. You don't play players out of position to disguise a weakness in their game. Carraghers best position is right back. Any match going fan with an ounce of knowledge will back that up.

I just wanted to point out that you sometimes make serious errors of judgement.

And about Hyypia. Yes I do not think he is on top of his game anymore. He is not in LFC 1st 11 next year. I am willing to put my house on that.

And I still think Owen is average. Make no mistake. I would never have him back. We are now a much stronger TEAM after he has left. He never made any contribution to team play and build up, and he disrupted morale and showed disloyalty to the club. Having a player like Owen is a luxury we cannot afford as his contribution to the team, his work rate, and his abilities to bring other players into the game and sacrifice himself for the team is non existent. The key word is TEAM.

About Carra. I never rated him as a left or right back. That's all. As a central defender he is as good as any other.

Rafa has no knowledge of football why did he put JC at CB. We need to start looking for a replacement. I think this match going fan doesnt know everything after all. Sorry Stu but had to be highlighted.  :D
