If you're talking about consecutive games in which he actually played there were at least 5 last season

lg cup oct 31st v Swansea
prem nov 4th v Newcastle
prem nov 11th v Chelsea
prem nov 17th v Wigan

Not really a debate this one is it?

Suarez is a world class player who has produced consistently in big games.  Sturridge is a very good Premiership striker but before his spell with us hadn't really been consistent (admittedly there are mitigating circumstances including not getting a run in the team and being played out wide etc).

There's not that much between them in terms of age - Suarez is 26/27? vs Sturridge who has just turned 24.

Sturridge might prove himself over the next few years but still won't be in the same class as Suarez for me.
