Carra and Skrtel have done well in past 2 games but I would also like to see the Greek come back in against Stoke!

then eats them.

Oh but he has to mate... he HAS to (who would have thought we would be so desperate for Soto to be available when we first bought him... kudos to the lad for achieving that). The Stoke game is MADE for him and though they've played quite well together recently I would loathe to have to rely on Carra and Skrtel for their aerial bombardment. MAN UP SOTO (like he needs me to tell him :D)

With Carragher out long term, I'm hoping the big Greek man plays every week. In fact, I was surprised Roy picked Skrtel ahead of him recently. Kyrgiakos poses a constant threat at corners when forward, and he's a very good defender. I just hope he doesn't get injured before Carragher and Agger are fit again.

his contract is ending this season. i would hope to see him given an extension. keep him, sell Skrtel. at least the Greek has much more composure and brains, and is definitely the best header of the ball in this team. most successful teams have a goal scoring center back and Soto would prove useful at corners.

Lol, actually Kyrgiakos has no composure or brain, he is a big, physical and no none sense defender, that is about it. limited defender.

sounds like he's now activated a clause in his contract which automatically gives him a one year extension. fully deserves it imo and he'll continue to be a vital squad member. he's never let anybody down.

Running the risk of flying in the face of popular opinion, I think Kyrgiakos is a squad player at best. Technically he’s aloof and his distribution isn’t great either.

I’m happy to have him in the squad, but we need better defenders and both Skirtel and Kyrgiakos should be left as backup.

I was hoping hed be shipped out next season, now hes just gonna take a place in the squad and wages that could of been for someone younger and better. Nothing against him hes had good games hes had bad games, bottom line is hes not good enough now or for the future.
