i had garcia earmarked down to play on the right on sunday. i know he can play on either flank but if he plays on the left that means we have to persist with finnan on the right which is not ideal. he's not a right winger. add this to the fact that josemi was injured last night and finnan may find himself at right back on sunday.  ???

I'd play Warnock left and Garcia right with Josemi rightback (if fit) and Alonso along side Gerrard :)

i'd go along with that.

                                   dudek

         josemi       hyypia          carra           riise

         garcia       alonso          gerrard         warnock

                        baros            cisse

have harry on the bench to bring on if things aren't going well. the fact that he can play in a number of positions is an added bonus. :)

When it comes to benching players in order to make him get his act together, I believe that this could have the opposite effect. If he`s rather poor performance lately is due to low self-confidence it certainly wouldn`t do him any good if he`s sidelined with a "not-good-enough-sign" around his neck.

If Rafa`s reputation of being a man with psychological insight is true, he might just be the man to help Kewell back on the track.

i made this point a minute ago as you can see above. it can work both ways but these are the decisions that our manager gets paid millions to make.

Cmon lads Kewell is our best left winger and on his day is a class act.

Every player has to adjust to Benitez' ideas and even the mighty Gerrard had a nightmare last night.

Maybe dropping Kewell for the bolton game might be a good idea as he doesn't look right and Warnock is alot more defensive and it could allow Riise to get forward alot more.

However to write off Kewell is madness and I reckon he will come good sooner rather than later.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.

Question: Name one game where Kewell was outstanding for Liverpool, frightening the life out of a ful back, as top left wingers should be capable of doing ?

nobody's writing him off. everyone knows on his day he's a class act. the problem is he hasn't had an outstanding game for 6 MONTHS. if he's not doing it, the manager needs to be strong enough to drop him. benitez is that man.

How many games last season did he play left wing the whole game ???

Even then he still scored more than 10 goals in a mediocre team.

when he was at his best before christmas he scored 9 of his 11 goals and was drifting all over the pitch to devastating effect. remember the goal against arsenal at anfield he scored from the inside right position?

after christmas, i think houllier asked him to be more disciplined on the left side and he became virtually anonymous in most games.

If Kewell was given a creative role behind the front two....could he play the role we thought Litmanen was made for Litmanen ?

He was carrying an injury for the 2nd half of last season yet like Owen was forced to play when unfit due to houlliers desperation.

In my oppinion if steven gerrard doesnt play well neither does the whole team and its a must that hamman stays at least for another season till we have these new players up an running. Henchoz last night was only on the pitch 2 mins and looked like hed been there 3 hours ???
Think last night they knew they were threw just couldnt be bothered playing the way we know they can we will beat bolton on sunday dont worry ppl :D
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
