According to a couple of the nutters at yesterdays game a youth team player called Paul Raven (I think) will be named as a possible full back reserve in the coming weeks. Cant say I've seen much of him but there was a few "raving" about him last night. Rafa was there too! If he was looking at Mellor he saw a ****** performance!! Richie P looked out of it but Zac looked fantastic on the ball(think it was Zac). TTFN

Any idea if welsh was playing, i think he is a good prospect and it would be good to see him having a chance under RB to get a game or two, as he is raved about and tipped to be the next gerrard, as for mellor i think  he is weak as a forward and we should offload him to Crewe, for him to gain experience and where he should get some first team action and we can take a look at him next year :D

David Raven has been a very promising centre half in the reserves for a few years now. Sorry i cant give you more info :( Obviously under GH Tommo had more chance of playin in the first team, so info on him is hard to come by . :p  I wouldn't rule out seeing him at some point this season, Rafa has not been shy in blooding youngsters so far so all the youngsters must be more hopefull of atleast getting the opportunity to prove themselves.  :D

It seems that Rafa is brave enough to promote the talented youngsters and give them a first team place. Who says that there will be less of the local telents being brought up at Liverpool with this present Spanish manager? he has said before that there will be a blend of young and esperienced players at Liverpool and he will always try to give the academy graduates a chance.

Houllier was chasing instant results and was very reluctant to give the academy products a good run in the senior squad.

Is there any chance of Ostemobor being given an extended first team run. I thought he did pretty well in the few games I saw him play last year.
