Manhattan prefers the Arabs to buy LFC.

To prove my loyalty to our potential new masters, I will convert to Islam.

becareful mate.

Read in the paper the other day, this guy was gonna get married, converted, then had his circumcision. The nurse missed and cut his tally-wacker off.

A 30 min procedure, turned into a 4 hr re-attachment.

Guess the wedding night will be a bust.   :D

"Almighty Allah!!!!

Let ye bless these men and women that visit this site, except those Galatasaray fans who are out of the Champions League. May ye bless thou new stadium with 60k capacity and grant us the day when it shall dwarf Goodison Park with it's ye olde wooden seats. May ye bless us with new signings including but not limited to Ian Wright's son, that Blackburn bloke who breaks legs, and maybe even Matthew Upson according to some reports.

Praise Be With Ye".

- Wesley Sneijder
- Ryan Babel
- David Odonkor
- Phillip Lahm
- Eric Abidal
- Florent Malouda

...and so forth.

I think philips has gone cold from sitting on the bench so much, let him go to west ham.  Their are plenty of good young right wingers out there.

and its just hit bbc news:

Liverpool 'nearing takeover deal'

Liverpool are reportedly close to accepting a £450m deal which will allow a Dubai-based consortium to take control of the Anfield club.
The Dubai International Capital group will be allowed to begin the due diligence process this week, according to reports in Monday's newspapers.

American billionaire George Gillett and property tycoon John Miskelly are also thought to be interested in a takeover.

The proposed deal will include £200m to build a new 60,000-capacity stadium.

The due diligence process gives DIC - a subsidiary of the government-owned Dubai Holdings - exclusive rights to study the accounts of Liverpool with a view to finalising a deal.

The details of the deal are not known, and it is unclear whether it would be a full-scale takeover by DIC, or whether they would take over from chairman David Moores as majority shareholders.

But the news will concern those worried about the number of Premiership clubs currently in the hands of foreign owners.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Portsmouth and Aston Villa have all gone through high-profile takeovers by foreign owners in recent years.

DIC is run by chief executive Sameer Al Ansari and owns the Madame Tussauds Group and the Travelodge hotel chain as well as one third of the London Eye.

The company is an investment arm of Dubai Holding, which is owned by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Al Maktoum family are internationally renowned for their running of the Godophin horse racing stables.

Liverpool have been linked with other takeover bids in recent years.

In 2005, American billionaire Robert Kraft - owner of the New England Patriots NFL team - was linked with a bid for the club.

And in 2004 Thaksin Shinawatra, then Prime Minister of Thailand, made a high-profile bid to take control of the club.

What happened to Robert Kraft's mooted "interest"? I read quite a lot of stuff about him last year and had secretly been hoping it'd be him that'd end up making the takeover bid.

I think Moores and Parry would be kept on  (if they want to stay). I mean this company would want someone who has kept us in the top 4 teams over the last god knows how many years. Obviously they have certain views on how things are run but i wouldn't have thought they would want to get involved in the day to day stuff. If they wanted to choose a new chief executive who would be any better? I just think changing things for the sake of it just brings in uncertainty which is bad for us and the owners. Give Moores and Parry a year, see how it works out, if it doesn't then no hard feelings thats what i think they should do.

Fantastic news cant wait, we need to move on we cant compete at the moment we need world class players and the new stadium before we fall further behind in the transfer market.
