Possible buyout? - Just heard on the radio

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby tommycockles » Wed Sep 20, 2006 9:49 am

They've just said on Radio 1 News that the Liverpool board have been called into a meeting to discuss three possible buyouts.

They didn't say anything else but thought it worth mentioning. Has anyone else heard anything on this- or who it may be?

It is also likely that the NWDA will want to determine the attitude of a new owner towards sharing a stadium with Everton FC.

No feckin way, p.iss off Bluesh.ite. :no

John Kraft??

The cheese guy??

I dont really know much about the guy, but I think a lot of people would be vehemently opposed to an American holding the major stake in the club.. a la Mancs.

Its Morgan we have to be careful of he is all in favour of a groundshare. Even though he's a Liverpool fan.

I have heard there are 3 offers on the table.

1.  Steve Morgan
2.  The Kraft Family
3.  The Thai Prime Minister who has just been thrown out of power.

I can't see the Thai PM doing anything as he is obviously in a bit of bother right now!
I can't see Steve Morgan being accepted by the club due to previous communications from the club.
My money would be the Kraft Family.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

It's Robert Kraft and he's a good chairman, very commited and extremely caring.

No so I can brag at work to all the Arsenal fans, who are a £100million in debt.

Robert Kraft has been interested for a long time. His history of owning sports teams is very good. He has given all of his teams major investment and they take an interest in the lives of the people they employ. It would be totally different to when Glazer took over Manure.

He won't throw cash about like Roman either, he'll give Rafa a certain budget like he does with his American football team.
