Im sure we can beat portsmouth unless we give up and relax, which i doubt since we still have 2nd to play for

me too..have a feeling for this game..pressure is on them...they had no idea how to play soccer against chelsea anyway... :D

I do think manure will be Charlton, so this is a pride game, confidence for cup final.

                                   Dudek

           Finnan       Carra      Agger       Warnock

          Kromkamp   Hamman    Sissoko     Cisse

                         Morientes    Fowler

Subs:
Reina
Sami
Gerrard
Riise
Crouch

I think if we rest players for the cup final, as above, - then we need a strong bench in case the mancs are losing and we are not winning.  If there was no way of getting 2nd i would  put Anderson, Barragan and Hammill on the bench... but there is a chance... and if miracles do happen and charlton go 2 up... we have to win

I'd like to see Anderson get a late run out if the game's in the bag, I remember an end of season game at selhurst against wimbledon when a very young Michael Owen got himself a goal and some valuable 1st team experience. I think it could do the lad a world of good.

Interesting that in the premiership preview of tomorrow's games on SSN says that if the league would have started in October, Liverpool would be Champions. That alone shows how far we have come this season. Dropping silly points at Birmingham, Fulham etc may have cost us a real title challenge. But either way I'm happy the way the season has gone. I will be wanting Charlton to win tomorrow and of course us to win.

We have flourished under Rafa and 3 cup finals in 2 seasons and a climb of 2-3 places from last season is definately a success.

COME ON YOU ADDICKS AND REDS!!!!

Ruud van Nistelrooy has driven away from Manchester United's final game of the season against Charlton Athletic.

The Dutchman was suspected to be playing his last game at Old Trafford as things have not seemed to be right with United's top scorer since he was left out of the starting line-up for the Carling Cup final.

United have confirmed the 29-year-old left the ground ahead of the clash with Charlton Athletic, with Giuseppe Rossi earning his first start in The Premiership alongside Louis Saha.

There was also a surprise place for Paul Scholes on the bench, alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Sir Alex Ferguson was critical of van Nistelrooy after his penalty miss in the draw with Middlesbrough left United needing to win on Sunday to guarantee second place.

It has not been confirmed whether the former PSV Eindhoven star was left on the bench for the season finale, hence his disappearance.

"We can confirm Ruud van Nistelrooy has gone home," said a United statement.

"The club will be making no further comment as we are concentrating on today's game."

Van Nistelrooy completed the 90 minutes against Middlesbrough but, perhaps tellingly, moved towards the bench when Rossi was stripped and ready to come on, expecting to be withdrawn, only for Saha to be replaced instead.

Ive seen some clips of Rossi, he actually looks a pretty good player. I hope that he's too overwhelmed by Prem games though.
