To you, does it mean Owen still wants to leave?

Although the Reds have secured the fourth Champions League place, Owen has stressed his desire to collect silverware on a regular basis. He said: "The contract in terms of the length and amount of money has not been mentioned yet because they are the least important details for me.
 
"Playing for a successful team is the only factor for me. I have never been interested in anything else. I have no reason to move, other than to be successful. If I do go it will be to win things - nothing else. We have had just one meeting about my contract, even then we only discussed the future direction of the club.
 
"If it happens and I do move, it will be a massive challenge but I cannot see myself turning out for another club in this country."

He'll give us another year and take stock from there. He'll go to the Milans or the spanish giants for a big fee after next season. He wants to experiance a different footballing challenge.

What do you mean, he'll go for a big fee at the end of next season, he'll bo on a bosman then if he doesn't sign a contract this summer.

As much as I admire Owen, we should sell him this summer if he won't sign a  new contract, otherwise we'll lose him for nothing.

I wouldn't blame him for leaving a poor team under poor leadership to go to a really big club, but we should at least make sure we get some money for him.

He'll do one of two things. If he has a good tournament he'll be sought after by the big europeans and he'll be off, if the deal he wants isn't there then he'll put himself about in the Champions league, sign a 12 month extension and he'll go next season. That's why he won't sign before the euro's.

What about if we have some good spells in CL qualification and we got new good signings, would you think he will go anyway?

I think it all comes down to club ambition. if we can get to be a top three club consistantly then he'll stay. If that ambition isn't backed up by signings in the summer ie: buying Yakuba instead of Van de vaart he'll go.

Yep he has deffo said that!
That is one of the reasons i think the contract will take so long to draw up as if we are still not succesful next year and he wants to move on then will need a clause to go before the 2 year contract ends!
