Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby 7_Kewell » Sun Nov 04, 2018 11:16 pm

We've got an easier run coming up, which means we could find some form in the run-up to the Xmas run.

Fulham (h)
Watford (a)
Everton (h)
Burnley (a)

I'm going for 12 out of 12 points. We'll then face Manure on the 16 December

I know I'm getting old, but weren't they for different teams?  Or do we just recycle the old thread?  :D

Yup, threads should me merged, if possible.

Anyway, not much to discuss here, we need 12 out of 12 if we're serious about a title challenge. However, bar the Fulham game, I don't consider those games as "easy". Watford have shown they are a tough team this season, Everton is the derby obviously, and Burnley has a potential banana skin written all over it. Still, anything less than 12 points and I'll be disappointed.

From what I saw he was far from “always positive” and every post was negative despite the team being unbeaten - it seemed as if he was always looking for the negative stuff within the team and dragging everything down

Not sure what a “real” supporter is but it was very strange the constant moaning when we are doing well

He's a realist ,one who can see the signs and he's earned the right to be degenerative for his allegiance over the years.

4 fixtures we should gain maximum points.

Fulham/Watford and Burnley have been poor.

Everton at H will be interesting but given it is on our turf we should beat them.

Right lads next 4 fixtures...

WOLVES A -22/12
NEWCASTLE H- 26/12
ARSENAL H- 29/12
MAN CITY A- 04/01

After that we've got a decent run uptil we face Mannure in Feb.
Also depends if we progress in the FA cup. If we do i really hope we get ab easier tie.

I would worry most about Wolves away after all the high emotion matches we have played, there could ba a let down. Newcastle at home will be a park the bus match, we should enjoy playing Arsenal at Anfield and then City away the boys won’t need motivating, I think the key factor for that match will be injuries at the end of the Christmas period. The Christmas schedule has been relatively kind to us in terms of days between matches so I do not see what we cannot pick up maximum points  :buttrock

Wolves record is the same as Uniteds, same points and same 0 goal difference so they can't score and their leaking like a sieve. BUT... we have to treat them all with respect, there are no easy games. Max points if we hold our nerve.

I'm glad we finally have a full week to recharge our batteries, some of those lads could really use a bit of rest.

Anyway, apart from the Newcastle match, I can't see an easy game there. No need to say anything about Arsenal or City, but the Wolves match won't be easy either. They're in good form and do well against bigger sides. They took points off City so we have to be careful in that match.

We must win all of these games, apart from the City match, which wouldn't be the end of the world if we drew with them, but losing is defenitely not an option.
