Has anyone else heard the rumor about Ian Rush, I heard he has taken or taking his UEFA coaching badges, rumor has it that if the board decide to get rid of Houllier then Ian Rush will be front runner for the job.

Mick Macarthy done well with a poor irish team in the world cup.Sure they bet holland and portugal to qualify.I tell ya who ya want BRIAN KERR.great manager.Totally underrated

Yeah its great having a manager like him. We still didnt qualify for the European Championships. But that wasnt his fault. He only took over after we lost two games. He will be judged on whether we qualify for the 2006 World Cup. Thats going to one heck of an achievement with France in the group.

Sticking to the point though Mick McCarthy cannot be manager. I think there are only a few real candidates. Martin O'Neill, Phil Thompson, Alan Curbishley, Sven Goran Eriksson, Kenny Dalglish.

curbishley is my choice definitely. brilliant manager in my opinion. he can't take charlton any further and no'one at the club can question his loyalty after 12 years or whatever it is. thats as long as spurs haven't already got him lined up.

Not Mick McCarthy please he hardly has a championship winning record.
We cant take gambles anymore we need a manager with a title winning CV which shortens it down to Martin O'Neill or Vicente Del Bosque.

can someone please explain how o'neills record in scotland makes him an eligable candidate. it's lucky for him that rangers are cr#p now that they've brought in loads of sh#te foreigners.

WTF is going on ? I replied to a thread about the prospect of Simao signing and when i looked at this old thread it appears i have bumped it with a bizarre quote, is my pc fecked up or has someone bumped this thread and i have replied to it by mistake ?

I have been drinking Vodka watching the Italy Australia game then had a few magners watching the swiss ukraine bore draw...i was thinking to mesef wtf is going on here, i am still not sure what has happened
