Shanks could get 100% out of a mediocre player which is a sight better than 80% out of a great player week in week out. He built a team which attracted players to Anfield , the few that turned us down lived to regret those decisions. Bob Paisley was a different kind of man who picked up a machine and made it better but he could not have built it in the first place.
The greatest ever has to be Shanks !
