Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Pretty much same as what they always say and said last time on the LFC TV phone in show. We are working on stuff, talking to people and will announce when we know something, patience and that. Fair enough but dont know about anyone else but my patience snapped way back so even these new guys are getting on my wick already! Doesnt take much these days  :;):

The Liverpool way is not in public. Rash judgement never made us great. It was small steps. The owners are good for me. Kenny back, director of football in, CEO in the pipeline and money to change the playing personnel.

He certainly knows the club and has been working here for the past 18 months. He knows the history and the passion we all have for this club. I think he's the right man for the job Tom Werner on Kenny Dalglish

The lads got talent, thats for sure. And he'd be a marquee signing too, one that could signal to the likes of Torres and Pepe that we mean business.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

i really don't know what to say about these guys now. i can't decide if they are getting reckless, aggressive or inspired. whichever way there is absolutely no doubt that they are prepared to put their money on the line, and that they go about their business in 'the liverpool way'. if all these transfers go through today they'll have spent around 100 million pounds... say that again slowly - one hundred million pounds! unbelievable.

and nando thought we weren't going to invest! fúckin nob...

not getting at the owners 1 bit. They've had there hand forced with Torres.

People saying we've spent a fortune but we've probably netted at 0 with Babel and Torres out Suarez and Carroll in.

Looked like without Torres leaving we'd have netted £22 million. (Suarez + Adam - Babel)
Hopefully, as a result, we'll have a war chest to spend in the summer circa £30m we'd expect + £22m.

Shame we didn't get Adam though.

We'll never know who we bid for and failed, so can't really judge NESV fairly.

If we bid for Adam (and we did) and Young (we probably did) that's another £30m there.

What would have happened if Torres hadn't been an :censored:, we don't know, but I guess we would not have signed Carroll.

Looking forward to the summer now :D

Well in lads pleased that you told Chelsea 50 million or :censored: Off and stuck by it. Pleased that you are doing things The Liverpool Way behind closd doors and with dignity and you are buying Young Talent

Supposing we go on whats reported then: Torres + Babel = 56 million.  Carroll + Suarez + Adam (reported 8 mill offer) = 65 million then there no spending big but they are spending.

The fact theyve come in got rid of the crippling debts, appointed Daglish, Clarke and Comoli and are respectable and give us enough cheddar for this window atleast, then i say so far so far.

Summer will tell us everything we need to know. dont let us down :blues:
