Moores - Steps down

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Liverpool FC confirmed today that David Moores has resigned from the Club's Board of Directors.
Mr Moores will, however, retain his position as Club Honorary Life President.

Where did that come from...

I cant see this being good news, the other two have full control now, first Parry and now Moores

It was inevetable after Parry's resignation i feel, unless the decks are being cleared for a new investor.

He made a huge mistake with the sale of the club but good luck anyway.

Well I don't know how much clout he has carried since he sold out to them.

Don't know if I want to wish him good luck.
I know he was a real fan himself , but there were a lot of bad decisions under his time as chairman , the worst being to sell out to these 2 :censored:.

Well if he was on the board i reckon he would've had a considerable bit of clout, sometimes 1 vote on a small board can mean a lot, when Hicks originally wanted to get rid of Parry didn't Moores and Gillet vote against it?

Maybe you are right - perhaps they are clearing the decks out for a takeover

You short sighted idiots, do you not see that Hicks and Gillet now have supreme control over the club, they can do exactly what they want now and no one can stop them. This is very very very bad news indeed.

Yes but Ciggy it will now get much much worse, can you not see that? There is no magical saviour waiting for us in the wings. As much as you won't like to hear it LFC is not that attractive a proposition for most investors, especially not now.  That is why we haven't been sold yet. If someone had been willing to stump up the money then we would have new owners already. We are now stuck with these two and without Moores to fight our corner, yes despite his huge mistake he was and still is on our side, we had better pray that twit and tw@t can make this club profitable becuase otherwise we are going down the toilet.

The RBS may re-fi but they have told twit & tw@t no more money. There was no point in Moores staying anyway with Parry gone 1 vote against 4 votes for he was never going to have a say in anything from now on anyway.
