Is Macherano really worth 17 million?

He has been shockingly bad today at least.

Are you watching the game or just guessing. Masch has been as good as anyone.

And yes he is worth £17million

I'm afraid 17 million is too much. He has been decent at most this year. Maybe he has the potential, but we have to look at the face value. That is what he has performed thus far. I know many fans would want you to believe he is better than Fabergas, Veira and etc.. But he is not.

And another thing, as good as anybody in the Liverpool team today is really nothing to shout about. I guess it is all boils down to expectation. I have high expectation for anyone wearing a Liverpool shirt. You may difer.

ok if kuyt is terrible, crouch is as as kuyt,... he's just terrible today... if kuyt is slow crouch is STATIONARY... the lad doesn't attack the ball FFS... and he has the reflex of my grand aunt!...

I actually agreed. If he is worth much less. We should keep him. But with limited funds get some creativity in the middle should do us a load of good. Currently we are deploying defenders as playmaker. This cannot go on..

Mascherano is v good but we aint got that much money and our side needs better attack minded players.  The lack off guile, flair and imagination needs addressing.

I was reffering to overall games played. Not just today's game.
Yes I am watching...
Masch has potential and we should try to keep him, but for 17million? After spending the money does it mean no more players coming in? Whys is it that we are so sure without Masch Liverpool cannot function? I understand humans are afraid of change but to insist for status quo irregardless of results is suicidal.

I'm afraid I was speaking about overall games played. In many of those games played we deployed defenders as playmaker. The defenders lob the ball to the strikers all the time.
