different game, fulham will be up for this. if torres is fit we must start him with maybe vorinin and have crouch there. if agger is back replace hum with hypia. finnan to come in as well. thats all i would change. kewell being playing well but we must be careful.

Just found this makes interesting reading

I love stats & true they never tell the whole story.

They don't show the passion or luck or the bad calls or the lack of support or...pay my mortgage.

But I thought that you would like to see some interesting & admittedly happy looking stats for this season so far...

...including tonights bit of history & the two CL Q games against Toulouse:

Played: 19 games

Won: 10 ...just over 50%
Drawn: 7
Lost: 2..yes just 2!

Goals for: 38  2 goals per game avg.
Goals against: 13 1 goal ever 2.92 games avg.

Clean Sheets: 9 ...just under 50%

Our season looks to be fairly reasonable so far...how can you not agree?

Dont forget the 2 points robbed by Styles

You mean the sky hasn't fallen in? Read a few posts on here for 5 mins and you'd think we were heading for relegation.

I think that the Torres issue becomes interesting for Rafa's selection this Saturday.  If he was fit enough to be on the bench in midweek, you can only assume he should be fit enough to start at the weekend.  Under both a rotation for rotation's sake, AND play your best XI method, Torres would be up for a start, two weeks after his injury.  I do not think that he will nor that he should start against fulham. However, he should be on the bench again, and I think should play a minimum of 20 minutes almost no matter what. I see Finnan coming back at Right back, which leaves him with a pick three at Left back (Arbeloa, Aurelio, and Riise)  I think Fabio needs the game more than the other two, because if we can get him back on the form he was on right before the injury, then he becomes a real asset to the team (you can also make a good case for Riise playing at either LM or LB and for Arbeloa getting a shot at either RB or LB)  I think Kewell should get the start to see what he is capable of creating over 90 minutes, and we are going to need a side that has players capable of breaking down the Fulham defense.  Would also consider Hobbs at centre half, but would in the end stick with Hyypia.

I'd leave arbeloa in right back as he was good last night, Agger in for Hyypia, Torres (if fit) for Voronin ans Kewell on for Riise.

4-0 (to us :D ) (torres, crouch 2, Benyoun)

Keep the same line-up. Why change it? The only player I'd slot in is Agger for Hyypia, but I've heard he's 3 weeks off yet.

I would be happy to stick with the same side as last night

                      Reina

Arbeloa      Carra      Hyypia      Aurellio

Benayoun   Gerrard   Mascherano    Riise

                  Crouch    Voronin

Kewell and Torres or Babel to get a run out second half, with maybe Lucas again coming on maybe for Mascherano this time.

Fulham usually play well until we score and then collapse like a pack of cards, I see no reason to doubt this will happen again. Another walk in the park 3 -0

on second thought, maybe we shouldn't play Kewell, wouldn't want the Aussies thinking that he is fit enough to play (and get hurt) against Nigeria. We have a big break after this game before Newcastle on the 24th, pretty much everyone except england play twice (17th and 21st), but I am worried that the international break could Eff up our form just like the first one did when we did toulouse and derby 4-0 and 6-0, and came back playing like cr@p

i think this game will be more of the same for us.

here's how i think/hope we'll line up:

Reina
Finnan Hyypia Carra Aurelio
Babbel Gerrard Sissoko Kewell
Crouch Kuyt

Think we'll win about 4-0. kuyt to score definately and Hyypia i have a feeling will score....id like to see Hobbs  get a run-out at some point. and for benayoun to replace kewell sometime during the second half....

CMON YOU REDMEN!

Rafa for once please don't fouk around with this winning line-up, can?
:D

I am pretty much 99.9% sure Rafa is NOT going to lnamed an unchanged team!

I just hope we don't ruin last nights result by not winning on saturday
