Liverpool goal of the season

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

i know there's still two games to go but what has been the best goal scored by a liverpool player this season in your opinion? it could be the best goal or it could be the most significant goal.

crouch has scored some pretty spectacular efforts, alonso scored from his own half again, and we've also scored some superb team goals (garcia vs villa, crouch vs west ham).

your picks and why?

Picking a goal of the season is really difficult.

But i really liked the goal Kuyt scored 20 seconds into the second half against west ham (away) just the sheer "boom" effect of the goal it just rose and dipped over Roy Carroll and smacked the bar.

But i also enjoyed watching the completely unexpected strike from Daniel Agger in the home fixture against West Ham, it was another one of those "Ave that" strikes

But I suppose my favourate goal has to be Jermaine Pennants goal against chelski, The in off the bar-ness of it as well as the fact Petr Cech was completely hands down beaten by it made the goal sooo much sweeter.

Crouch's overhead kick against Gala, I never expected Crouch to be able to do that. Great goal, great skill and totally unexpected.

The best goal was easily Crouch's bicycle kick.

The most important.........I would say Agger's last Tuesday!

1st...Crouch Vs Galatasaray; great technique, never saw it coming from the big man.
2nd... Pennant Vs Chelsea; brilliant strike, "the best goalkeeper in the world" couldn't do jack about that one.
3rd...Crouch Vs West Ham; great team goal. and nice tidy finish from crouch.
4th...Alonso Vs Newcastle; well, to be fair the keeper would of saved it if he was on his feet. still, a great goal.

I think it must be the 25 yard volley by Riise, or the Gerrard header after the 12 pass move, or Alonsos' curling chip form the edge of the box, Milan just didn't know what hit them!!

Agger vs. West Ham. and an honorable mention to crouch vs. bolton it was more over the head than galatasary which was a little sideways mixed with over the head

crouch's 3rd vs Arsenal at home, great control and tecnique with a neat left foot finish that sent the keeper the wrong way, pure class. Pity he cant bury the easy ones! :D

Shouldn't this topic have a poll?

I can't deceide between:

Agger v West Ham

or

Pennant v Chelsea

In no paticular order...

- Agger vs west ham
- Crouch vs galatasary
- Riise vs Tottenham
